I know the first build cost them around 250k and they went 8's the first time so it just shows you that your boy know nothing about this sport.
this guy has forgotten more about drag racing than MOST will ever know... he is propelling a full weight full interior toyota supra making about 1500hp to the WHEELS NOT THE CRANK to 8 second passes through a 6speed transmission... IF ANY OF YOU HAVE ANY SORT OF DRAG RACING KNOWLEDGE YOU WILL UNDERSTAND HOW DIFFICULT THIS IS! if he was to put an automatic transmission in this car it wouldeasily go deep into the 7's no problem... hell probably on the first pass... BUT NONE OF YOU decided to investigate this... you didn't ask what the driver was trying to accomplish and how...
BY the way TOYO doesn't sponsor you to do all of the R&D work for a drag radial if you know NOTHING about drag racing... way to go

. Before you go off calling someone a "moron in his hobby" you need to step back and look at what is really going on. This is how I KNOW that you don't have a clue as to how the racing world works. This guy has paved the way for many others in his field. Its not like he he throws sh*t at his car and pisses it away. There is a huge learning curve when you want to have 1500+ hp out of a 3.0L motor. This is a little more technical than twincharging your mini... At what boost level does the motor twist and the crank walks out the front of this 3 Liter motor... Nobody knew, he found out . How much horse power can the mains hold in this motor... Once again nobody knew and he found out. What clutch do you use to hold 1500+ hp... Only one way to find that out... By testing. I could make this list go on forever but I am hoping by now you unsterstand my point. When nobody has done it somebody has to lay the ground work. He did a lot of the ground work for the thousands that race this car today and doi it very consistently and reliably. Doesn't sound like a "moron in hi hobby" to me, but rather somebody who made a lot of things possible for others.
So unless you have something to say about your MINI being faster than my
"worlds quickest and fastest non nitrous or turbo MINI" please dont post in this thread anymore. After all that is what this thread is about.

You might realize that you have to walk on egg shells around here to ensure that you don't get the boot from a moderator...
things would be alot different...
and if you don't like the other drag racing forums because of all of the speculation and things... please don't reduce these forums to those levels...
Bottom line... run what you brung... post the slip... video or times or whatever... Do not make the CLASSIC RICER mistake of constantly bringing up well if i had this or did this... its okay to bring it up sometimes... we all could have done something better... and lord knows we always have more parts to buy... just be happy that you ran what you ran...

Thank you!

I owned and built the car, but didn't drive it. Looks like I know how to get the most out of my car even if it means I don't get to do the excting part of driving it down the track. Unlike most people, I am able to do whats best for the car and let someone else wheel it. Now before you flame me for that I want to let you know I was only .2 off the best time that car has so I can drive too. I am just not always the best.
