Cheers Andy, I suppose it doesnt count, but raced at Firebird International Phoenix last night with the Alamo Chevy 4x4 1500 dual cab pick, run a 16.8 @ 84 and a .009 light(I'd been up for 28hrs at that point), not bad for a footbrake launch LOL.

One of the racers said there was 2 minis racing last week, typical come all this way..............

Broke deep into the 13's without nitrous or twincharge tonight. I was even on regular old street tires.

Andy, could you add a "tire" column to your list?

Sure, I'll add columns for new pieces of data that people send me: tires, elevation, outside temp, moon phase, etc.

Yes, we run on a .500 tree.

I ran up against a 99 Cobra too!

Either the guy couldnt run his car, or something was wrong. My friends said they couldnt hear his SC over my car....

My first drag tonight:
Albuquerque (at 5400 ft above sea level = correction factor of .9328)
Actual ET: 15.788 (corrected: 14.73)
Speed: 84.9 (blistering headwind...)
reaction time; .12
60ft: 2.4sec

This was my third run. I think I can go faster, especially once I learn to turn DSC off each run (!)
Anyway, it was fun, but maybe not every weekend...

cheers.

60' : 2.537
1/4 : 16.079

So, nearly everyone posts their dyno results after adjusting for altitude (most dynos do this automatically, even if they don't do the smoothing automatically.) Is it common for drag times to be adjusted for altitude also?
As a total newbie here, I would like to know the drag etiquette.
thanks,

first time at the drag last night, they were giving a free run so i figured what the hell. didn't warm up my tires and didn't launch hard cuz one of my tires was in bad shape.

dial r/t .822
60' 2.412
330 6.459
1/8 9.783
mph 74.98
1000 12.596
1/4 14.981
mph 94.88

weighed the car too that night @2492lbs (2632lbs with me in it)
mods- 19% helix pulley, helix high flow injectors, giac, tms intake
i had stock slites with run flats too

had a lot of fun, definitely going to try it again when i get new wheels and tires

I took my MINI to the drag strip for the first time tonight during my hubby's quest to get 11's on his EVO. I'm fat, my tires are bald and I shift like a granny, so I was fairly pleased with these results. I think if I learn to takeoff and shift better and get a fresh set of tires on my car, my next outing should have some marked improvements.

dial r/t .103
60' 2.419
330 6.457
1/8 9.804
mph 73.21
1000 12.668
1/4 15.097
mph 93.13

Way to go out there and have fun. Next time I bet you knock off a half a second, unless your husband lets you pilot the Evo: then it will be three. Those things are ferocious.

Thanks, he would let me drive the EVO, but after driving any AWD's, I tend to forget how to be properly aggressive with launching my car and I just sit there and spin for a while until my tires actually get some traction He was happy with his car yesterday though, it got into the 11's on his summer tires. He's all over me now too to get a short shifter for my car (I agree) since he said shifting my car is like rowing a boat

Well, i'm down to a 14.39.

I have a sponsor now and i'm going to be getting a set of M/T's and a set of steelies for the car soon.

I wanna see 13.8 before the end of the year.

I'm at 14.40 too. I'm going again on wednesday and hope to lose a couple more tenths. I'll be happy with a 14.0 this year. Maybe a new head to get into the 13's next year.

It's funny how each trip to the strip changes what I think is good enough. First year I want 15.0, then 14.5 now 14.0. My goal was 13.5, But somehow I think that won't do it either.

Good luck.
