The Unofficial MINI 1/4 Mile Time Database

Post 'em if you got 'em!

http://www.ross-tech.net/andy/mini/d...artermile.html

Only real 1/4 mile times from dragstrips count ... no G-Tech, PDA dyno, or "I beat an 11 second Honda" measurements.

Interesting timeslip database!

Although it doesn't show what year the car is so it leaves something to be desired. I'm trying to find out what stock '05 Minis are running in the 1/8 and 1/4 mile.

I love drag racing, but have not yet tested the Mini. Anybody have input on a stock Mini?

Coop d'etat 09-02-2005 08:35 PM

There are a couple of Mini's in Chicago that are in the high 11's from what I understand on stock blocks, and non twincharge systems. 19%pulley, 4%crank, and a lot of NO2...Ill try and take a look at some timeslips next time im there.

Battle Cattle 09-05-2005 08:13 PM

whats the weight on your Mini One S?

-Josh

Paul Webster 09-05-2005 10:48 PM

Lighter than yours:lol: on a serious note when I looked at your runs I knew there was something wrong with mine as I would estimate it to be 200lb+ lighter than yours.

Also my 60ft was .18 quicker which would mean it would be .36 quicker at the 1/4 (I dont know what difference it would make at the 1/8)

I've entered the Euro Finals at Santa Pod (thur -Sun) this weekend, as long as I qualify in the top 5 you'll be able to see how I'm doing here;

http://www.eurodragster.com/santapod...ls/default.htm

look for Sportsman ET, as long as I can get my dial in right I might be there:lol:

I'll also be able to weigh it this weekend as they have to have the scales there for top fuel pro mod pro stock etc etc

Andy or Anyone that knows, what kind of tires were the 13 and 14 second cars running on? Drag radials, slicks, street tires???

tia,

james

sfjames2 09-14-2005 08:47 AM

guess that was kind of a dumb question with so many different cars.:o

Paul Webster 09-14-2005 10:28 AM

thanks for responding man, I appreciate it.

I was just checking out the 1/4 mile log and noticed no listings of the type of tires people are running on. Maybe someone should get on that.

Haven't clocked mine yet, but will someday.

70hp Andy I forgot to say that idt did have an ally flywheel and 4 paddle plate this weekend, I think this is what has made the difference.

Do I have to send a pic of the timing ticket to you??

Nice one MidMichMini, thats a good 60ft and ET for proper street tyres, the question is will you be going back and are you addicted yet:lol:

MidMichMini 10-22-2005 03:50 AM

Hey Paul!

I'll definitely be going back! This was actually my second time to the track. My first outing was really disappointing. I couldn't get the tires to hook up....my best time was a 15.9. I spent a couple of months practicing my launch and it paid off! I needed to prove to myself that the problem was the driver and not the car.

My goal was to get a good baseline for the car before any mods or improvements. I'll be going back in the spring with new tires and wheels and see if I can get a little closer to a solid 14.

Roger
