OctaneGuy's Plastic Trim Sauce--almost there!
Ooops, thought I replied to this one. Thank you!!! I think BW has a bright future ahead!

I've forgotten to post here but I received BW a week and a half ago and applied it to the MINI asap! It has held up really well. It has faced a bit of rain and has stayed pretty clean. The only thing is there are parts that seem darker than others; should I reapply???
Thanks for a great product

i just applied some today. got it yesterday. gotta say..it's pretty expensive i must say..i was expecting a bigger bottle.
BUT..while applying. i used VERY small amounts and it worked very well into the trim.
doesn't even look like i used any. a VERY great product..glad i finally got to ordering one.

Octane I used WOW the day after the dragon and must have washed my car 3 or 4 times since and the trim still looks awesome. So far it has some lasting power which is nice since before wow I had to do the trim after every wash.
Bigger isn't always better!! All MINI owners know that!
Thanks for the note.
If some parts are darker, it's possible that it's not distributed evenly, or maybe you have a previous dressing there? You can take some alcohol and water and spray it on the trim. I use 50/50 mix--spray it on the trim liberally and wipe it clean with a towel. Depending on the percentage of alcohol, that may remove the dressing you had previously. Then apply BW. This "concoction" won't remove the BW, so go ahead and spray it on over the BW and the light/dark spots and see if it helps or not--then reapply BW over the whole area.
Awesome!!! Thanks!!! Can I use this pic for my Black Wow website??

Richard, I applied BW almost a week ago. We've had rain nearly every day since. The BW is really holding up. Still looks great! I'm impressed not only with the results but also how little it takes. You'll not get rich off me. I may be dead before I use all the bottle.
Hah thanks!!! Yeah I kind of expected that so I'm working on trying to get one bottle into the hands of every car owner!
Richard, have you ever applied BW on tires? What effect does it have on rubber versus vinyl/plastic?
Great product, our CR-V trim is still looking black and new - nothing has ever lasted more than a week before.

Nice tip!
Thanks for the feedback!
Yes I have. I even documented it. It improves the look as expected, but it just doesn't last very long. Black Wow wasn't designed for tire application. Here is what it looks like when you first put it on. I did the tape line for the before and after comparison. I wouldn't recommend it for anything other than applying onsite for a show where your car won't be rolling.
For tires, keep an eye out for BW for Tires...lol.

Got it! Playing with it!
The trim on the cabrio between the solid roof panel around the windshield and the fabric top has a white/faded look to it. Putting some on half of it to see how it does. Looks good so far.
OC, besides using my finger, the instructions say to use a piece of foam. Any type/ small chunk of soft foam?

The main reason I suggest using foam is simply that you don't want to use something absorbent that will hold too much product. First of all you don't need to use very much and second having an applicator that absorbs too much product will just waste it IMO.
Your finger works fine too! The foam that I use are the applicators you find for applying wax. The little round disc from Meguiar's for example.

yah, i haven't washed my car since the BW app, but it's looking real good.
ive been QD'ing my arches after the drive and doing some very minor touch
ups to get it even.
dust did not attract after the first QD wipe down so the static's coming from the
plastic, not the BW itself imho.

You know, on my MINI's trim I didn't get any static at all, or on the textured parts I did on the Jeep. It was only on the really smooth fenders on the Jeep that I got the crazy static. I wonder if the surface is what does it.
That's been my experience here in Los Angeles--no static on any MINIs. I've tried it on bumpers for old BMWs, a Suzuki Sidekick, and various trucks, and not once did I experience any static, so it's definitely an odd behavior. But since some people experienced across the country on their MINI's, it sounds more to me to be an environmental thing.

applicator pad and how many rubbings you do during the application.

works on cabinets too?
I think I've finally banished all traces off that blasted Meg's Spray-On Wax!
And my finger in little places I couldn't jam the foam into (roof gutters, under the chrome on the bumper).
