Must be winter, quiet here
I did the drive-thru yesterday...hadn't been to this one before, and it did a pee-poor job. But Clara's back end looked similar to nabeshin's MINI's, and it is better now....just not really CLEAN.
Buckets to the bays-with-wands next time, I guess.

Poco has been through a few touch-less carwashes in his day, and the last one he went through tore his ultra stubby antenna off. He was never "CLEAN" after going to one. I just use a wand wash, spray off the worst of it, and let him air dry.
I put the effort into the fall detail, so that a few water spots are never a problem in the long term.

Silicone Sealant is fun!!
Changing topic....I've been having a blast with silicone sealant. First I glued my interior speaker grills back on since I took them off to paint a couple years ago and they kept falling off, and last night I glued my Aero grill back in since the retaining nuts keep getting lost. What else can I glue back on the MINI?? I have a whole tube left?
Hee, that's how I seal up my driving lights!
I just spent 20 minutes playing with what is marketed as "tape remover" but is essentially mineral spirits in aerosol form. I get a lot of products that come in cool reusable jars at work, but I have to get the labels off...tape remover did the trick!

Yup, that silicone sealant's good stuff. I glued my side indicators back into the trim when the studs failed. Plus lots of other stuff. It's my standard "stick it back on" solution when something falls off...

yeah I think its all the same. I ended up with the Loctite brand. I used to think Epoxy was the great gluer, though maybe a little too permanent, lol.
I used some kind of liquid nails crap for gluing the vertical trim of the rear & back windows back on. All of it had fallen off piece by piece, but not again after the re-gluing.
i came to the realization that i suck at piano... i mean, i can play just fine, but just fine is just not good enough any more.
as in: meguiar's products work just fine, but just fine is not good enough for the car enthusiast.

Hey Ken, looks like you may not be able to delay that Clubbie until fall....

The car fire could potentially start at any time, causing property damage and personal injury--especially if while the car is driving down the highway, or parked in a garage. Already several vehicle fires have been reported, prompting Honda to issue the recall.

brrrr... got some gas in my FitS, but no carwash ticket. too cold.
