hummm....all the clubman-s's at patrick's inventory look challenged with its dumb looking wheels.

they use the same 4x100 +47offsets as the cool R53's? what's the recommended tire size for these R56 variants these days? still 215/45/17? or 225/45/17? or 215/50/17? or 275/35/19? oh wait, those are my cars.

you're kidding right? we musicians play air guitar while driving. we dont use steering wheels and shift *****. we use the accelerator as our wah pedal and brake pedal as our distortion pedal.

And in a MINI you can just reach back to buckle the little ones in, esp. if they're already at the age where they can get themselves into the seat!

Clubbie is the way to go!

The 4x100 is the same, but they messed with something else that screwed with the Lugs and the bolts needed to hold on the brakes, I don't remember exactly what but I get to re-learn every time I mess with MLs wheels, speaking of which I'm running one 5-star and 3 S-lites until Saturday, turns out it wasn't a summer tire in the snow issue is was a corded tire in the snow issue.

yah, it will be another 1.5yrs before the young one will be able to buckle his own seat, i think. the older one is easy. just open the door for him, and done!

yah, i think they changed the screw pitch or taper angle or something on the R56 too. i cant remember either. woahz, sorry to hear about your tire situation...

From 7/2006 on, they changed the lug size from M12 x 1.5 to M14 x 1.25.

The newer ones are a complete b**** to find when you're looking for tuner lugs. I would have just switched to studs if I hadn't heard so many horror stories about them snapping off.

Anyway, the gist of it is you have to watch things that involve the size/pitch of the lugs, or you're in for a huge headache. You can put R55+ wheels on a R50/52/53 but not the other way around.

This is tire replacement 3 on this set in 6 months, 7th tire replaced this year; I really ought to start looking into Pit Crew jobs for how many times I've had to change a tire on the side of the road or in the driveway.

The seats still slide forward, so if you leave the car seats in there it's really a piece of cake to press the press button kick the seat up buckle them in slide it back and drive off to work.

Ok there's that excuse ironed out, we can help you pick out option packages now; since you're getting a Clubbie for a new DD

NEWS FLASH FROM MINI:

All models made by MINI don't need to be parked in a garage, even the Clubman.

See Ken, MINI has you in mind

Poco has never been parked in a garage, though we do have a carport.

ML- thanks for the info. Dang, that is kinda clumsy cause those stock donky 16's on the clubman really look bad to me.

Any one know the stock offset and tire size for the 17's?

But no one has hot chocolate with black top. That's the color I'd want like LadyGodiva's car...

That or the dark blue/black sceme like my old R53. The 5-spoke factory wheels are option? Those look kinda nice.

I'm sure we can find someone that'll help you place an order! I've also got people at Knauz you can talk to, then you can return to Patrick for all the other visits!

No, but because of a different tune, the 2010's come with more HP

All that's missing is Ken's Clubbie, which is parked across the street

If Clubbies came in O2 Blue, I'd have one by now.

I just cheated on Clara with a sweet 2010 Clubbie S @ Knauz. Time to start scraping together some pennies...

Oh, and Ken, they had TWO HC/B Clubbie S on the lot!

I wish there were more color choices for the Clubbie. I love O2 Blue. They also had R56es with Mayfair and Camden packages. They are both SWEET but $$$$! And a MB JCW Clubbie with lime green, silver and black UJ side scuttles and lime green mirror caps. Really cool!

ML-wow that sounds cool. i was looking at the config and the 'learn more' or watever page and it really doesn't do much as far as trying to see wat one's getting. i wanted to see more interior picts and it only has like 4 picts and 2 of them are like close ups of the MINI logo and maybe the back of the headrest or something useless.

Hope you feel better soon! I'm sick too, with a cold. I have no voice; Drew thinks this is pretty cool.

I'm gonna go play with the configurator a little too...see what I can come up with...
