Getting exhaust and pulley!!!

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't been on here recently but I just wanted to let you all know that I am sitting up at Helix Minisports waiting to have my Miltek Cat-Back and 17% Reduction Pulley put on!! YEAH! I can't wait for my 4 hour drive home. I will let you all know how it is when I get the car done. Oh and the guys at Helix are very nice and are letting me use their internet why I wait for my car to get done. Well, talk to you all later! (fingers crossed)

Cool!! 17%... That's agressive! I'm sure you'll love it.

Your going to Helix in PA, or to LDG in MD?

Yes there is a great update. I love the exhaust and the aggresiveness of the 17% pulley, however refer to this thread for the bad news...

I ran over a fox on Sat. But I would love to say thanks to the guys at Helix. They were awesome. They let me hang out at the shop while they worked on the car and they did great work. So thanks a lot to everyone at Helix. Two thumbs up!!!!!!!! Oh and as soon as I can I will send you guys a pic of the connectors I work with. Talk to you guys soon.

Yeah, it is fun, but now I have to let it sit in a shop for a little while to get the front bumper fixed.

I wonder if there was much difference in the power with the auto and that 17% pulley over using the 15%.

I am honestly not sure but I do know that my car will try to break the tires loose at about 70 miles an hour on the freeway if I stomp on it. Either way I am absolutely happy with the guys at Helix and the quality of their work. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to get work done to their MINI's.

When I parted with my 05 MCSa it had a CAI, 15% pulley, header and some other small bits and with the super sticky tires I had it just gripped and went like hell. So maybe you should consider better tires now

Yep, my next investments are going to be sway bars and strut bars and new sticky tires. Please let me know which tires you had on your car and wether or not they were worth buying. I am trying to decide which tires will be the best for my car. Thank you.

Tires are a hard thing. You first need to decide if you want to have 2 sets of wheels or not. I went with having 2 sets, 1 summer and 1 winter. That made the choice of a summer tire pretty easy to me. I got a set of super sticky BF Goodrich KDW2s. They stick like mad and sound like a truck from inside the car But then again do you drive your car hard? I did and loved the grip.
