I'm heading up to a little town called York, Pennsylvania to visit my parents. I don't think I've ever seen a MINI there - believe or not the little town does have a BMW dealership, but I've never seen a MINI on the lot.
Not a bad drive, and since I'm taking the MINI I have the excuse to take the back roads (15 North instead of the beltway and around Baltimore, etc.)
Where are YOU headed?

Already headed to Tate MINI to have my seat replaced...
, then flew down to Florida for a visit with my parents, and a family trip to Key West!
And I waved at a few MINIs from my Dads Trailblazer down there... but surprisingly, no waves back!

...actually, I was just looking out the window thinking it would be a beautiful day to head out west -- perhaps 211 W to Sperryville and take in a little stretch of Skyline Drive...might be a little breezy though...
Whoda thunk we'd be pushing 60 degrees F on Christmas Eve?!

we are driving to Richmond, Williamsburg and Corolla, NC over the next week. We'll park the Mini and take a Hummer the last three miles to the beach house....don't think the MCS would do so well on the beach.

Yup, I'l be headed up 15 too. Going to spend a few days in the Mechanicsburg area. Lotsa family in the area. I see a few MINI's there but not many. Their closest dealer is Towson. When I cruise up there with the top down I get a LOT of hollers and comments.
Make sure you stop by Dutch's Daughter restaurant in Frederick. If you can go 30 minutes up the road to Gettysburg, go to The Dobbin House for dinner... you won't regret the time and effort to get up there !
Going from Norfolk, Virginia to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area (~1400 miles), leaving on the 28th or so. The trick is going to be getting both of us, along with all of our stuff, in the car, while leaving the wind deflector in place in case the weather's nice enough to put the top down on the way.
EDIT--Oops, saw this thread in the "new posts" list, and didn't realize it was a DCMM-specific thread.

Thanks for the info. We've changed our plan to do the drive next week instead and definitely will try the restaurants.
Dutch's Daughter is a bit upscale. Dinner for two will run you right around $100 and the atmosphere is very nice. Jackets are not required, but you'd feel out of place if you dress too casually.
The Dobbin House is also very nice and dinner for two will run you around $80. The atmosphere is a bit unusual as the building dates back to pre-civil war and each dining room has a theme (ask to eat in the bedroom). You can wear jeans in there (many of the tourists do) if you want. If you like bread, they serve fresh, warm apple bread that is great. And try the crabcakes, even if it's only as an appetizer.
Dobbin sounds interesting.
We are looking for some casual place during lunch (along the route) then maybe end the trip by an early dinner at Dobbin (I love crabcakes).
Sometimes when we do a trip, we don't look at the map. We just pick the destination and drive, where ever the roads will take us to. Lot of guessing but kind of fun.
