[PhiliMINI would like to co-event a wine tour at the Ingleside Plantation Winery in the Northern Neck of Virginia some time mid July

What the suggestion is to meet at (2 PM) the Park and Ride lot off I-95 on Rt17 Warrenton Road and then traveling as a group over Rt218 toward Dahlgren VA, skirt around Colonial Beach and arrive at the winery – about 40 – 45 min drive on a Virginia scenic highway. The Winery will provide a winery tour and tasting of their selections. The tour I’m thinking about can accommodate about 40 – 50 people. (For a larger group we would have to reserve the reception hall, if available) The winery has a nice court yard for a picnic lunch or for just relaxing. If people want to explore afterward there are many historical land marks around and a pick your own orchard within 10-15 minutes away.
There are a couple of options. A $3 dollar tasting and keep the glass, A $5 tasting with cheese and crackers or for $10 you get wine cheese veggies and fresh fruit. This would be a pay at the door event
Are we interested in meeting the PhiliMINI's for this ??? ... Let me know and I will help them to co ordinate this from the DCMM side. Sticky god's please make this stick for a while

1... RSVP back to this thread to let us know you are:

d.... the MINI club you belong to (DCMM or PhiliMINI)

2... Have a full (or near full) tank of Petrol

3... Bring your FRS radio (and set it to Channel 7 sub channel 21)

4... it is recommended to do a pee before you start the run

5... Be in a happy mood so you can have a fun drive

Count us in for 2. Been there before and it is a great winery. Rt 218 is not the Dragon, but when I need a Dragon-fix, that is where I go. Watch out for the 2 turns that go over a hill and you can't see which direction until you crest them. Woo-woo!!!

This sounds like a great idea, I'm a member of Phillymini, and it will be great to get together with DC Metro minis. I know that the weekend of the 22nd Philly has MINIs in the Mountains planned. And couple of our members are in a wedding party on the 15th so how about the weekend of the 29th?

I'm interested +1. Would definitely be going with the fruit option.

 

We would be open for the 29th. I have my neice on the weekend of the 15ht and I don't have a back seat to put a child seat in! And would go for option c as well. +2 for the 29th

 

We(2) are free any weekend and willing to splurge for the $10 package.
