Small correction needed. My RSVP is for 2 people.

 

I may have to drive a BMW loaner to this event...my FIXXXER is going into the shop the Monday before for some body work caused by a leaky wisndshield washer nozzle.

 

Any idea of the route and time frame yet? I will be coming back off travel Friday evening from upstate Upstate NY and won't be able to check e-mail during the week.

 

I was not able to get the turnout from the PhillyMINI group that I had hoped for. So it will be two MINIs and Four people. We look foward to meeting everyone on the 29th.

The first sticky post has all the route information listed in a .doc file. If people are having trouble reading this file, I will send out as an e-mail if you PM me.

To summarize: depart Falmouth VA commuter lot located near I-95 exit 133B at 2 PM for about a 1 hr drive to the winery. The $10 charge is for a wine tasting (you get to keep the glass), cheese and crackers, and fruit. Bring something else to snack on if you plan to socialize in the court yard after the tasting.

 

Hmm.... it turns out today is not the meet huh? Guess I messed up the date...doh! Its funny, we thought maybe we got to the rest stop late, so we drove extra fast to try and catch up at the winery. Anyways, we had a good time, the drive out there is awesome and the Pinot Grigio is terrific.

Probably wont make it out next weekend now, so we'll catch ya at the next meet! (if I don't screw it up again!)

 

I'm going to have to withdraw my RSVP, as I'm working Saturday until 4pm. Chai may still go with Krut tho.

Across street from East Coast gas station and Pizza Hut -- Lots of fast food at
this exit.
GPS coordinates: 38.3467N 77.5017W
We will be tasting several red and white wines and will have cheese and crackers
veggies and (fruit or desert) - Remember to bring your $10 for the wine tasting
After the official tasting, we can meet in the courtyard and socialize or
groups can take off on local MINI trips. If you plan to stay at the winery for
a while, you might want to bring something to snack on and some water if it is
hot and humid. There is plenty of cover if it rains so that should not be an issue.
I'm looking forward to a great ride and getting to meet everyone (I mean everyone as
I have only met JEN at the Dragon and for only just a minute)

Just a question, if we leave at 2pm, and it is a 2 hr drive... Do we know how long the vinyard is open for? I hope it doesn't close at 5!!!!

 

I agree, while I haven't read through all the details yet, 2pm seems a little late to leave. Maybe it is, I'll review the route when I get home tonight. Been busy busy busy at work!!

Leave the meeting location at 2PM. Drive for an hour. Meet at Winery about 3. Winery closes at 5. Should be plenty of time

 

Not sure. Do you think 2 hrs @ the winery is worth 4 hrs of driving?

 

Hey everyone... something came up today that is going to make it impossible for me to be there on Saturday, so I'm afraid I'm going to have to bail on this. BUT... I'll still be attending the King's Dominion trip next weekend!

I think pretty much any amount of motoring is worth getting together with all you fine folks! And at least no complaining from folks about having to get up at 6:00 am to make an 8:00 am run start!

 

Ok so back to this question.. anyone want to get together for lunch before going?
