Hey all,

Chris (CustomAV) and Melanie are in town! But only briefly. Those of you who attended the 2005 MINIs on the Dragon will remember them - great people... Chris was my "Custom Edge" creeper race teammate. I spoke with Chris on Wednesday night, they are definitely up for a low-key get-together on Thursday night (yes that's TONIGHT) with any DCMMers who are able to make it.

Place and time yet to be finalized (watch this space), but probably something like 7pm downtown in DC, near where they are staying (which is a hotel near the Treasury building, I forget the name). They are leaving on Friday so unfortunately it's Thursday or not at all. One place he suggested is "Old Ebbitt Grill", at 675 15th St, NW. I'll clarify during the workday on Thursday.

If you are interested and available, come out! PM me if you want my cell # for last minute directions, but otherwise I'll post here as soon as I get it clarified with Chris.

 

Keep us posted! I'll be able to show up, depending what time I'm released (and by released, I mean sneak out when no-one is looking!) from work.

Just talked to Chris - they are going to be at Old Ebbitt Grill at around 5pm for drinks... I'll be getting down there at 7 or 7:30, and we might all go somewhere else for dinner.

The food is pretty good at the Old Ebbitt - it's part of the Clyde's chain - a Washington perennial favorite
