DCMM presents dinner & ice cream!

We will start at Five Guys Burgers & Fries in Woodbridge, VA for some great burgers and fries, then motor on through some backroads and twistys to Manassas, VA for some excellent ice cream at Nathan's Dairy Bar, where our own 'MNEEME' is currently employed for the summer! And after enjoying our ice cream, there's mini-golf right next door where we can all see if we can putt as well as we can drive!

When: Saturday, July 9th, 2005
Where:
Dinner: Five Guys, 14001 Jefferson Davis Hwy (aka Route 1), Woodbridge, Virginia
Ice cream: Nathan's Dairy Bar, 8948 Mathis Ave, Manassas, VA
Time: We will meet for dinner at 5 PM, then regroup at a strip mall at the intersection of Ox Rd (123) and Route 1 (it's all too easy to get separated on Route 1) when we're finished eating (approx 6:30 PM meet time). This is also where we can meet people that wish to join us for the drive and ice cream, but not for dinner. I expect to arrive at Nathan's at about 7:15 PM. ***Directions are in the route sheet PDF below!***
Why: Cuz it's fun, good food, and great dessert!

No event fee for DCMM members. $5 per car for non-members. You can pay in advance by PayPal to address events@dcmetrominis.org. Be sure to mention which event you're paying for.

I'm coming for sure as seeing it ends where I work! Hopefully the drive is as good as the dinner and desert. Looking forward to some good roads and lots o' fun.

...it just so happens that we are hosting a Pampered Chef party at our house in Manassas that night. So if you would like to add just a little more fun to the evening you could stop by after ice cream. If you are interesested in attending or have questions PM me.

I'll be with the Hubby in Rhode Island visiting his family...although I really want to go, it's a nice long road trip, and I'm driving!! Have fun and take lots of pics!!

Edge... Couldn't agree with you more, yet in the latest edition of GQ there is an article about where the 20 best hamburgers around the USA are. 5 Guys was totally snubbed... what the hell were those guys thinking?

On a side note, I had an In N Out Burger for the first time a couple of weeks ago. For those who don't know In N Out is legendary for good burgers in Southern California... And I think 5 Guys in infinately better than In N Out, and that just the burger, on the fries it's no contest... 5 Guys destroys In N Out!

Sounds good! Saw Paul yesterday and he had just got done doing the route and should be posting it some time soon here!

 

I was going to type up and post the route last night, but unfortunately I had a rather rough encounter with a Mr. Jameson.

I'm off to a 4th of July party now, but the route should be up tonight!
