Thanks everyone for braving the traffic and showing up!! I was actually only really expecting 6-8 cars, so I was a bit shell-shocked when we reached a total of 19 MINIs at Five Guys! (BTW, I counted 18 cars that RSVP'd that were there, but 19 cars were on the drive. Who was the mystery car?) And the route wasn't geared towards that many cars, but it all worked out in the end!!

And with the power vested in me as DCMM Events Coordinator, I hereby declare myself reigning DCMM Mini-Golf Champion!! After a tense back nine, I bested the scores of who stayed around for a round of putt-putt, namely MNEEME (Matt), MatthewZ (Matt), CmdrVimes (Matt), BIGBADWLF (Janelle), and Edge (Haemish)!!

Is it me, or do we have a plethora of Matts?
Glad y'all had a good time.
Paul, what's the new Hummer's color gonna be? Black on black?

Meanwhile, painting sucks and is boring And I have to do the second coat today...

I think my friend Kattiya might be up for a rematch at some point in the future... you only beat her by one stroke. Well done, though next time, you guys have to read the official rules on the card!

I was mentioning that at dinner. I think we decided to call MNEEME Earl instead.

You need to use the Mr. Bean method of painting. Get a big can of paint and some minor explosives. I think you can figure out the rest from there.

Thanks for a fun event That WAS a pretty big turnout, especially compared to the richmond events! I'm trying to suck up the money and get rid of these stinking run-flats.

I took one picture of every mini i could find, and i asked David to take some pics of the mini's on the road, but he rested his hand on my dash and i wasn't exactly driving slow or straght, so they turned out fuzzy. I took a couple at stop lights/signs, and alot of parking lot shots, but i haven't been home all weekend, so when i DO go home, i'll post them

I had a blast, and it was a great excuse for a slight road trip. It took about 2 hours to get there. But even though we left at 8 on the dot, and took 2 20 minute pit stops, i didn't get home until after midnight from having to drop David off in Chesterfield. Whew. If i didn't have such a long trip ahead of me, i'd have stayed alot longer!

It was great putting faces with the names on here, although i didn't get to talk to EVERYONE... and i appreciate everyone's kindness and coming up to me and introducing themselves. DCMM is a great group of enthusiasts! I hope to come up there real soon... Only i'll be alone since David got a little car sick :P

Yes, you did... but what are "house rules"? They are the rules of the house you are in... which meant the rules of the Mini-golf place. Which... said that if you miss 5 shots, you record 6 and move on. So HA!

Try going to a casino, and playing any of their games with rules you make up, and try calling them "house rules". They'll say no, the house rules are OUR rules. That's why they're the house rules!

Capeesh? Youse talkin' ta me?

Holy crap.

My sister took me to Five Guys in Reston while I was there over the weekend...BEST BURGER EVER...and I got the "little" one!

They weren't the fastest burger-makers out there but man, was it ever good. I'm in for the next Five Guys run.

Too bad you didn't make it to the run, since you were in town.

Still, another non-local, converted to the way of the Five Guys.

Now it's time to build a run around El Pollo Rico, in Clarendon.

They're on Kenmore Street, right next to a new condo or somesuch going up. I've been eating at their place since 1996, this is the second location I've known them at.

Best damned rotisserie chicken eh-vah! Run by a Peruvian family. Regular favorite for The Washingtonian restaurant listings.

Get a 1/4, get a 1/2, get some fries and slaw.

Carvel across the street, so you can do ice cream, too. Parking, unfortunately, is a bee-yotch.

Were you trying to capture the Batmini logo?

Attention all whom attended:
Saturday I lost my drivers liscence. It was on an insert in my wallet, and 1 page of plastic card holders fell out somewhere. I've tried calling Five Guy's, and they havn't seen it. The only other places I went that day were Nathan's and Microcenter (fairfax), both of whom are not answering their phones.

So if anyone saw or heard anyone talking about a found California drivers liscence, I'd much appreciate any info. Thanks.

I was trying to be creative & artistic

I diddled with the contrast and colors to bring out your car and the reflection of the red car. I was quite pleased with the result - - Tom
