[Sun, Apr 13th @ 9.45am] CUMBERLAND VALLEY MOUNTAIN RUN
Just got back from running all the roads, everything is OK, High Rock was
super, not a cloud in the sky, view was probably 60 miles. George(bless
his heart) must be having a kegger up in Maine this weekend, Camp David
looked sooo lonely
See everyone in the a.m.

Are we ready for some FUN
Put some new Bridgestones on this week and just replace the air filter. Hyber B is all set to breath hard and rock on. I will be leaving shortly just to make sure I am not late!!
See Ya, B.
See Ya, B.
Today ride was definitely spirited. Rab did a heck of a job setting this up and as the finale we all have some great eats. The roads were incredible and an adventure if you get too close to Camp David
You know who you are.

Rab. awesome lead, and Ed, as always great job as sweeper.
As I have been known to say on occasion, outBLOODYstanding ! The run was brilliantly spirited and I would do it again in a heartbeat ! Maybe a re-run during summer when all the leaves are on the trees as such. We can re-run this as well as Bills famous cabin fever run !
Next time we're near camp David, I hear where there's a DCMM member that knows somebody that works there... maybe he can get us in !
Pictures will be up later.
Cheers !

Eventhough I've joint the group later on in the run, but man, it was awesome. The road through Catoctin Mountain Park was a blast.
Definitely, will do this again.
Thank you so much Rab to make this happened. Fantastic indeed.

So sorry I had to miss it - even though it's a hike to get up there, the Cumberland area always has some fantastic roads to drive.
I may have missed the run, but at least my taxes are done now. Whew.

Great job Rab. A really great run. Carol is taking the grandkids to Disney in the fall and she says that those Disney rides will be nothing after today's run.
Thanks for putting this together.
The radios sure were quiet today!

Here are some pictures to share.
After finishing a long discussion with the secret services and waiting for the caravan to arrive. Snap a panoramic view from the "High Rock".

Finally, the caravan has arrived.

You can tell how fun the run is. by looking at Christine's (ccc777) smile.

Bill (Wolf617) and Mike (SpitfireMKI) on the move.

Our Award Winning Sweeper, Ed (Hynohealer) in action.

Enjoying the beautiful view at the "High Rock"

Some of us with all the hugh smile.

Not only did I have to miss this run, I've thrown my back out and am in excrutiating pain. Consequently, I need lots of pix to relive this run vicariously..

One of the best runs I've been on

Had some new faces show up, made some new friends, motored like madmen, and had a terrific time. Oh yeah... great food... can't forget that! It doesn't get much better than that!
Thanks, Rab for doing a great job (as always) and also for the surprise award. I'll do my best to keep earning it, and will proudly display it every chance I get

~Ed
Sorry you're hurtin', Katie. We'll try to cheer you up. Rab led a terrific run, and I think we had a world record number of miles without interlopers, slow traffic and LEOs! Plus we also had a great amount of air time... thank goodness for strut tower defenders

Great route choices, good reassembly points, minimal left turns, great scenery, good communication and pretty much everybody kept up the pace so nobody got left behind. That was REALLY nice
One of the best runs I've been on

Next Sunday will be interesting... at the moment there's 19 MINIs, which is less than the April 6 run (which had 23 MINIs show up). If the numbers don't jump up and the weather co-operates, maybe we can pick up the pace a bit (not as much as dry run #3 though - heh).
Again, really sorry I missed this one - I'll try harder to make it, the next time it's done!
Just want to echo the sentiments of the previous posters.
Great job Rab!
That was as near perfect as a run could get.
No wrong turns, mechanical ailments or significant separation problems.
Rab had anticipated every spot where we could have intrusion from non MINIs and planned regrouping areas.
Left turns were minimal and never on busy roads.
One traffic light on the whole run!
We even had a liaison to negotiate with the Secret Service.
This was a textbook example of a well-planned run.
Thanks Rab.
Also, it was great to meet the new folks.
Thanks for making the effort to come up and join us.

This was my 2nd run and it was a blast. It was great to see some of you I met on Rappa run and to meet some more members. You are all a bunch of great guys and gals. I look forward to the next one

secret service guys that were not happy to see him. He comments about his experience on a couple of his prior posts.
