I remember seeing two amphicars when I was going to school in Fairbanks. One of them was in running/driving/floating shape, and the other was in the process of being restored. Pretty cool cars!

And TN - I'm thinking I just need to make more money and buy a bigger boat. (As GI Joe mentioned, schwimmwagens aren't exactly plentiful - the ones that are left should be cherished...never to be run in salt water...)

I will arrive sometime Wednesday night in the western Philadelphia/eastern Montgomery Co area. Thursday the kiddos and I are doing Independence Square, then later back to my cousins... we leave for points south on Friday. So I can meet up with y'all sometime Thursday or Friday morning on our way out... (I'm fairly easy, at least that's what it says on the bathroom walls....oooops, thats an EMRT comment, giggle)

I haven't been back to Philadelphia in decades, except for a funeral or two- I think I can get myself to Chestnut Hill to catch the train downtown, to Germantown, to the Main Line... I will probably come down thru NJ and cross over near Yardley to get to my cousin's (I think I get off at the King of Prussia exit??? maybe not).

OK, back to your regularly scheduled discussion of all things classic!

I am thinking, since Gem probably works til 5-6 on Thursday that maybe we should meet up in the K of P area( or anywhere you say, boss!!) say around 7-7:30-ish? Please tell me if I am waaay off base with my calculations!!

BTW- I THOUGHT the food was going to be inexpensive... just happened to be so mesmerized by the sunset that first time that I forgot. And also, I would have paid for your meal... but you were so fast with splitting checks and talking about expensing your meal that I just let it be. I DID drive way over there to see you though... so hopefully THAT made up for it.

Spent 6 hrs and 230 miles with Pooper last night. 3 hr drive up To cumberland ap Falls, KY, then 1 hr back on I-75!! WOW, the E.TN twisty backroads are Awesome in a Mini!!! Had about 9 cars from our local club Smokey Mountain Minis(although 3 were Non Mini/MINI).. What a good run. Attempted to see the Moonbow at the falls, but it was a wee bit cloudy. I gotta go fillup today before our dinner/ice cream run this Eve!! 7 gals of Spirited driving!!!

And yeah, eyebrows and teeth happen when the photographer has short little arms. But we had an awesome time!
