and as for me I sure could use a drink. this new boss is a crazy person and I don't think i'm going to make it much longer. let's just say 6 people in my position in 3 months. today he told me if I can't get caught up (2 weeks) from no one doing this job since January, I should stay late and work weekends and exercise time management skills!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice guy! I think he should exercise people skills! I was fuming by the time i got home! what an asssssssssssssssss!

And to all of you who offered the suggestion to use a clip? I now have a fairly large one hooked to my purse and when I go into a client's house I just unsnap it and click it on my duffel,,,, maybe this will give me better peace of mind.

Hia Freebies. I'm bushed...what's worse is that my patience level is at a serious all-time low. I love my civilian boss - she's a really nice lady - but if she wants me to put ONE MORE PIECE OF CRAP into the meager furniture I let her bring to the new office, I'm going to kill her. First, she's tried cramming every piece of furniture scavenged from the old building (and that's A LOT of stuff!) into the new space -- did I mention that the only "open" space is near my half walled cubicle? -- and then she has SUCH faith in my packing abilities, she wants me to cram them FULL. Argh. I have a headache.

Just stopping by for a quick minute... have to go outside while it's still light so I can do more landscaping. We have these Mexican Petunias that we've been trying to kill for months and they won't die... not even with BRUSH killer! They're crazy! Gotta put a bunch of landscape fabric and try to keep them underground somehow.

Toes. I was thinking that model looked like she had a bit of a HammerToe??? Guess you can't get everything, right? If you're skinny you're cursed with ugly feet... at least one can hope. I bet the person that is signed up on 3fatchicks (*cough- cybergypsy -cough*) still has a problem with late night fridge binging! Hey, new term- FRIDGE BINGING!!! I'm glad I don't have that problem. Sorry you have HammerToes Cab... but THAT and the fact that you are able to cling to branches scares the sht out of me. I hope not to have any dreams about them. I had a dream about a goldfish this morning ... don't know why.

Yeah, they're Mexican Petunias. They're pretty but I wanted a change and I had no idea how crazy they grow. I have killed them so many times with spray, we've dug up the base plants and removed them... but they grow underground and start new plants just from like a one or two inch piece of branch. The husband says that we need to embrace them. Maybe I will have to.

Don't know if you guys saw it or not but there was a thread started for "MS Paint" by Nabeshin. There's always a pic of an Asian girl in the sig part but I don't think this person is the cute little girly girl in the pic. Anyway, the pic that this person made was pretty cool looking... reminded me of my own funny tries at MS Paint program. Well, I tried to make a request but it's a no go. Maybe I'll make my own. I like making high heels and knees with the program but I've never made a MINI before. Maybe my MINI will wear high heels. Ahhhh... who am I kidding... I have no time to do this right now.

don't know if you remember me posting about the three of us getting together for lunch on Saturday while we're at the Dragon. I was checking the restaurant's web site I mentioned to see what their hours are. At first I when I looked it was saying they weren't for lunch on the weekends until May 28th. But then I saw that this was their 2005 schedule.

Soooo I called Nantahala Village and found out that the restaurant is open and has changed hands. The guy I talked to said the web site should be updated very soon. Thought I'd let you all know ahead of time.

I guess we're still on for lunch Saturday?

OLA please come to my house and help me plant.... I'm not good at it and need some serious help! I planted some herbs this year, and i have a few coming up.... wowwwwwwwwwwwwwhhhhhhoooooooooooo... that is the extent of my planting!

 

Gem- I am obviously good at getting things to grow that I don't want to grow! You probably don't need THAT kind of help! And I swear- I think "Round Up" for weeds is actually fertilizer! Congrats on the herbs though.
Our little veggie garden seems to be doing well right now. We've got 5 or 6 tomato plants that are doing VERY well... 1st time broccoli growing seems to be going ok... spinach and lettuce, peas all ok. Cucumbers are doing ok, peppers and beans got pretty munched by Peter Rabbit (and apparently he loves beets but carrots not so much ).

I saw Nantahala in Hal's post above. Did I ever mention that I have a video of a lady eating popcorn at a Nantahala scenic view area? It's from our late October drive up there last year. It was SO funny... especially since we've eaten so much popcorn here!

A man is driving along a highway and sees a rabbit jump out across the middle of the road. He swerves to avoid hitting it, but unfortunately the rabbit jumps right in front of the car. The driver, a sensitive man as well as an animal lover, pulls over and gets out to see what has become of the rabbit.Much to his dismay, the rabbit is the Easter Bunny, and he is DEAD.

The driver feels so awful. A beautiful blonde woman driving down the highway sees a man crying on the side of the road and pulls over. She steps out of the car and asks the man what's wrong. I feel terrible," ! he explains, "I accidentally hit the Easter Bunny with my car and KILLED HIM."

The blonde says,"Don't worry." She runs to her car and pulls out a spray can. She walks over to the limp, dead Easter Bunny, bends down, and sprays the contents onto him.

The Easter Bunny jumps up, waves its paw at the two of them and hops off down the road. Ten feet away he stops, turns around and waves again, he hops down the road another 10 feet, turns and waves, hops another ten feet, turns and waves, and repeats this again and again and again and again, until he hops out of sight.

The man is astonished. He runs over to the woman and demands, "What is in that can? What did you spray on the Easter Bunny ?"

The woman turns the can around so that the man can read the label.
