Oh I didn't see it as a burka!! There were actually a few other smilies that were OBVIOUSLY burkas.... I like playing in the sheets - with my cat. he thinks I make the bed just to make him do "crazy kat."

 

Okay guys and gals... this was a huge, monumental day!!!
My husband and I got to participate in our first Philly Mini Event which, in spite of the rain, was a blast.
I got to meet Gemgirl,, and OMG-- let me tell you--- Gem is much more "animated" than she comes across on our Freebies forum!! And she is pretty animated on here so that should tell you alot!!

She is amazingly tiny-considering that she is a self confessed "chocoholic" and was great fun to hang out with. Oh and did I mention that she was covered in "bling" ? Hhhmm, surprise surprise!! Her husband was a really nice guy also, and he shared a couple really funny stories with us about Gem,,,, don't worry Gem, your secret is safe with me,,,, for now,,, ( I always wanted to use this smiley)
I am not sure that many of you have "met" Atomic17 on here yet, but he was there and looks exactly as his picture looks on one of the forums introducing his new MINI.. he found Gem and I on the PA. thread and asked us about our MA and well, the rest is history!! He was there with his partner and what 2 nice guys,, I have decided that all mini owners must be pretty darn nice, no wonder Apple had to sell hers so quickly-- she just couldn't keep up the pretense!!

I have a couple photos (my husband was snapping pics all morning) and as soon as Gem approves them I will post them up.

Gosh, now I want to go to the MOTD-- I can't imagine how fun that would be plus meeting some more of my Freebie buddies.....

Just for the record, your hubby and my hubby seemed to get along like they were lost friends! Your husband is great -what a nice guy!

OH and forgot to tell you, after the group left us behind, we waited with Holly and watched the ralley on the computer Live and you were the one right infront of the camera car, so we were watching your boot the whole trip and as we finally picked up Nugget and pulled out you all were pulling back onto the parking lot. Holly took a photo of you on hte computer screen! Your car is AWESOME!

Atomic17 and his partner were great and I'm so glad you all are joining the group, this is going to be a great motoring year! I already told hubby I want to go on the lancaster trip next weekend, and he just rolled his eyes, and said he doesn't want to spend every weekend out driving, we need to get some work done around the house.

 

My cats loved the "sheet changing day" they both would get on the mattress and i would put the fitted sheet on and watch them go crazy under as i tickeled them.

 

We could always fix that, just for MOTD!!!!!
