Yes, you've added some spunk back in here!

So, it's a '68... updated to what specs?

It's so pretty... I'm still all dreamy about it.

The person that you bought it from... does he/she deal with many of these cars or was this like a singular event for him/her?

GREAT! I get online and Gemgirl leaves!!

Lets try some catching up!!

RG seems to be on Facebook quite a bit. I "talk" to her there. I was really trying to get her on here, but I know she left for a long road trip today,, she'll be back, she really does have alot going on right now.

RJ-- I am sorry but I can't say that I haven't used that "special" finger either. I agree with Ola,,, it is soooo liberating!!

Ola, I recall that misfortunate seat debacle and the poor service but ya just gotta try again. Maybe this time it will be better..?

GEM!! I see you Sunday!!

Uhoh,,, do you have a possible date and time for our meetup????

I have bronchitis again,,,, yep,, lucky me!! While in Fla and in that class there was a very sick, coughing and hacking lady who sat right at the next table from myself. Yep,, she contaminated me!!

GiJOe and MINIxb-- I think you both are really lucky to have the classics of your dreams..... sigh

Your mini has to be a re-vin. It looks like a mid 90's mini. (if anyone says it's been updated to something it's a revin because it would be a pain in the butt to update a 68 to look like that..)

Cab, your sick!!! oh no- hope you have some heavy duty meds.... I can't wait to see you sunday, we will be doing the happy dance!

Ok so today i went into the ladies room and when i opened the door to come out guess who was standing within an inch from the open door showing teeth?
yup Cujo, and so I went back in to the ladies room and stood there for about 40 seconds and thinking great I'm stuck in the ladies room until someone realizes I'm gone! This is crazy, when I finally had the nerve to open the door again and peeked out scanning the hallway it was safe and went back into my office, my soon to be "ex boss" can in I was visibally shaking and she asked what was wrong, i told her I was stuck in the ladies room her comment was Oh come on the dog won't hurt you!!!!! for some reason this dog never goes after her, but then it probably smells the fear in me!

so that is the days events, 1 1/2 weeks to go!

Gem...I know you would never intentionally hurt a Dog, but a kick in the Chops might make him think twice!!

I really don't get into trouble with the guys on the Sales Floor. I bring them Treats...Pretzels, Peanuts, Salt Water Taffy, Chex Mix, Frittos...I even took in my Ice Tea Jar and Tea.

So see I'm not causing trouble...I'm NOT...I'm NOT...I'm NOT!!!

And I love the Sonic shot! I cracked up(and so did everyone else there) when had my first Mini/Sonic experience!! What a fun car!!!
There was a car circling Pooper this morning at the gas station, on the way to Cars N Coffee, like a shark. The guy had his kid in there and was just giving him a visual tour..(by driving in circles around Pooper/the gas pump??). He saw me coming out and gave a big thumbs up w/Grin and drove away!! I Enjoy this car!!

RJ,, you are sooo right... I really thought that I would feel better as the day progressed, but if anything I am feeling worse again. I fear that there might be another Dr visit for me on Monday and this time with a doctor not a Nurse Practitioner..... I am actually starting to worry a bit..sigh

Maybe Gem will get some pics for us....

Dear what you need is some REST!! Dr. J's Orders...I've had both Bronchitis and Pneumonia.

Pneumonia was much worse, for me anyway. I was in such bad shape that I didn't know what was happening. One day Hubby wanted to ER me, but I told him if he wanted me to go, he'd have to call an Ambulance...and I was stark naked at the time, so you know I was really sick.

How I got Pneumonia...now that's a funny/not funny story. I really have no clue how I ended up with it. It was July 4th and I was cleaning the outside windows (a once a year job), hasn't gotten done this year yet, it's been to hot. Anyway, I finished up the windows had cleaned up my supplies and just felt like I needed a nap, laid down on the couch, then went straight to bed and didn't get up out of bed that whole next week??!! Except to go to the Dr. I also thought I had relapsed about 3 months later, but thankfully it wasn't Pneumonia, I didn't fully recover until 6 months later.

So moral of the story...take your meds., stay home, and get some rest!!

Yes, ma'am!!! Everytime I get this bad I always worry that is is going into pneumonia,,, but luckily it stays bronchitis.. but this is twice in one year and it sucks,,, totally sucks,...

So you got the "I Care" part...well that's good!!
Twice in one year is NOT good...any contributing factors?? Or any that you know about??

Good question, and one I keep trying to figure out!! I don't smoke, drink, hang out in unhealthy places--ie: coal mines, smoky bars, chernobyl.......
my parents were both heavy chain smokers so I grew up saturated in second hand smoke. I also was on farms up into my 40's so I am sure I was exposed to pesticides to some degree.....
a few years back I did a full pulmonary work up because I NEVER get a "normal" cold or flu- it always goes to my lungs. And I passed with flying colors??????
So!! I think working with people on a day to day basis that are chronically ill and with weakened immune systems exposes me to more contaminates than the "normal" person, but jeez,,,, I get sick of getting this hacking cough.
Even when I am healthy I tend to have a dry cough and a slighty husky voice (right Ola?)

So, there you have it, a long drawn out answer!!

I am thinking that I should have seen my acupuncturist this morning while she had office hours..... I wonder if anyone has ever tired that for a hacking cough?? I have alot of faith in their healing powers..I just kind of hated to go there and have everyone have to be around my disgusting cough. plus I REALLY thot I was better this am.

hey,,,, grinning here,,,, did you ever try that no sand liquid stuff?? I am embarrassed to say we haven't gotten around to it yet either!

That project has been put on the back burner since we got our Fence put up and Hubby just finished with Waterproofing it Today, at least I think he's done. I've got carpets I have to shampoo too. Hubby spilled my Soda the other night, so I brought out the Steam Cleaner, now I've got a path in my Living Room that shows how a clean and DIRTY Carpet L@@K!!

I'm getting more excited about getting the Buffet Counter Top Faux Finished though, so maybe here soon I'll get up enough nerve. I was going to do a pic. gallery for you all to see once I get in the mood to get it done.

Hubby did a very nice job on the Fence BTW...I mean with Waterproofing. We had the fence installed on the South side of our house in May needed to let it dry out, then it rained, let it dry out some more and last weekend Hubby started Waterproofing it.

I'll get some pics. downloaded to our Photobucket account and show off our house!!
