It's okay, quibbling is fun sometimes with the right people who have a good sense of humor.
I got out a map. Wenatchee is east of the cascades, but the cascades do NOT run down the middle of Washington state. They are all in Western Washington. However, I would be willing to grant you that Wenatchee is in Central Washinton, being that it is almost smack dab in the middle of the state and due north of Yakima which is the half way point between where I live and Seattle.
As far as Eastern Washington goes.. I live almost as far East as it gets while still technically being in the state. The Idaho border is only a 30 minute drive from my house.
I highly recommend that you try some of the Good Earth and Numi teas if you like flavored teas. I love the Numi Vanilla Rooibos and make tea lattes with it at home. Just regular old Good Earth is my stand in for coffee if I run out of beans.

You're right, Wenatchee is about as Central as you can get--pretty much smack in the middle of the state. Had to get out my map, too. Ah, Idaho, it's a wonderful place. Been there and thru there several times. The entire northwest has some of the most beautiful scenery on the planet. The only thing I miss about the NW is mountains. Don't miss the cold or the rain tho!
I'll check out Good Earth & Numi teas, thank you. Don't normally go for the flavored, but change is good.

I wasn't big on flavored teas myself until a friend recommended that I try the basic good earth tea. It's got a lot of cinnamon and clove flavor in it. Something about the aroma and the taste of it does me as much good as two shots of espresso. Also, the good earth teas are generally 100% herbal and caffeine free. I think they have a caffeinated version of their basic blend though.
Don't worry about the coffee, coffee is actually good for you in moderation. As long as he stops drinking it before 6 pm, he'll be fine and supposedly, coffee drinkers have less incidences of alzheimer's disease and heart disease.
If you're concerned about caffeine, you could always go to Macy's and buy an espresso machine. There is about half the caffeine in 2 shots of espresso than in half of his cups of coffee, and espresso shots produce the same amount of flavor as a cup of coffee does. You could also make it doubly healthy by mixing the shots with an unsweetened soy milk, which is really high in protein and nutrients the body needs.
A starter machine should run you right around 100$. I really recommend avoiding krups machines because they just aren't constructed very well. They cost more than they are worth. Delonghi makes a 100$ very basic espresso machine that should last you for a while. If you find you want to upgrade, or want something nicer, PM me and I'll give you the low down on the machines in detail. I have the cadillac of espresso machines and even though I paid about as much for it as I did for my laptop... it paid for itself in about three months because it saved me all those trips to the java hut for 3$ mochas.

It's funny, he is sooo calm and steady and drinks so much caffiene.,, I am so hyper that I drink mostly caffiene free teas. I swear if I drank what he drank,,, OMG I would be bouncing off of the walls.....literally!
My morning drink is hot tea- one decaf bag mixed with one green tea bag,, no sweetener, no cream,,, just my tea blend. yah, I know,, boring.
Cab- sounds like i drink as much coffee as your hubby! Yes I'm a major coffee drinker... I'm going to Random's house soon..
Holly sent me an email, and Atomic PM'ed me last night, we chatted a bit... exciting time for him, wasn't too long ago you and i were just as excited...
Did he contact you too? Sounds like you, Holly and I should try to schedule to meet up again!

Hey, I was looking at CC's photo of his wife cabrio,, maybe you can answer this question for me. It looks like you have a little hatch on your cabrio? One that opens downward???
OH!! And HOlly said in March Otto's will have a premier nite showing off the new 09 Cabrio,, maybe we all can attend..
I am still trying to catch up with the last 4 pages here and catch up....whew!
It appears that on the 09 the soft top lifts up a little higher than previous models but at the same time I think my backseat is wider as my roll bars are stationary wereas on the 09 they retract when the top is up. The back seats fold forward so as to provide more cargo space. I will admit my sister's Coupe holds more cargo but nothing compares with top down driving on a nice sunny Saturday morning, even if it is to haul a garbage can home.
Yes, Gem, he PM'd me also. He sounds like a nice guy. I tried to get him to announce his new order on here but he wants to wait.

Out boot does open downwards.
I would very much like to go see the new Cabrio! Let me know if you get more details, Holly didn't say anything yet.... we could finally meet!!!
Have a great night, talk to everyone late morning, appointment in the early morning... more later.
That, Coupe "hatchback" owners, is our trunk. I found some pictures of the 2009 that demonstrates how it works. The bottom of the soft top actually unlocks and lifts up slightly to allow easier access. I have found however that if the item is large, like a large suitcase, it is easier to drop the top and just lift it over the side of the car. I drug home a new 55 gallon garbage can this weekend and did so by dropping the top and letting it ride home in the back seat.

Sweetie, don't know if you've read it all...but Skillet never got the Mini. And moral of the story is be wary of anybody offering free Minis - it's like the bad man tempting you with candy...
Hey Random,,, thanks for the info. What I have started doing is taking hubby's caffinated coffee beans and mixing half decaf beans in with them to keep his caffiene to a healthy level. I asked him about an expresso machine but he thinks they are smaller? And he really loves sipping his coffe for most of the morning. He grinds his on beans,, this is one of his great pleasures.

They are smaller. They produce smaller amounts of coffee that give you the same amount of flavor as a full pot of coffee. What you do is you mix one ounce of espresso, per so many ounces of hot water, to hubby's preferred taste. Less caffeine, more flavor. When I had a smaller machine like what I am referring to for you guys, I could make four shots of espresso last me all morning long. You could drink the shots straight, of course, but I usually make my own lattes or mochas with them (with soy milk and an ounce or so of espresso syrup or chocolate syrup). It's more fun that way and I get my soy protein in for the day

uh, no i never read the whole thing. what, where's the guy with candy???? j/k
Morning Freebies! This is a bit OT (in *this* thread?! Does such a thing exist?)...
We (my family) go to a guest ranch in Wyoming, in the Big Horn Mountains near Sheridan, ever summer. It's very rustic, we stay in funky cabins with hot and cold running water, but heat provided by fireplaces and refridgeration by Ice Boxes on the front porch. In fact, as an aside, I sometimes drive the ice horse (that's my facebook profile pix... my view driving Joe the Ice Horse)- Last summer, up on the mesa overlooking the ranch, one of the employees got a photo of a mountain lion. This was the first time we'd heard of a big cat getting this close to the ranch- especially when it was full of people. I rode horses up on that mesa, and even into the mountains with my uncle and daughter- we did find prints and some remains that we figured were the cat's dinner...
Anyway, Justin (the employee who lives on the ranch year round), has a "sports cam" that is motion activated and takes night shots. He set it up under one of the cabins and got some really interesting shots. There's a Mt Lion living under one of the cabins! Currently the mt. lion is being refferred to as The Plumber (in one of the shots, he's rubbing up against the water heater). I don't know how they'll get him out of there. I certainly wouldn't go in a crawl space to pull a HUGE ferocious kitty out...
These pix are posted in my gallery.
Have a Gaaaaahhhhhreeeeaaat day (said like Tony the Tiger, which I thought was appropriate, LOL)
