I know nothing about "hosting" did you attach them through browsing your computer? Other than that I have no clue :( shucks...

I use www.photobucket.com -- but I can't access it while at work, nor can I see anyone else's 3rd party host site.

Kiki, I LOVE pic #2!!! I'd have to agree - you have a thing for cabrios!

Cab - "hosting" in this sense means you use a site (like photobucket or flickr.com, youtube for videos or something) that you use for web-based storage...and when you want to insert a photo here, you can just embed the link, not the photo itself. It saves on thread-size/space. Only drawback is that a.) your photo is on the web (so make sure you use a site that is protected or the user agreements provide security) and b.) if you ever move the photo within your "album" online, or delete the account, the photo you put here on this thread will come up with the red Xs.

Yep, I am the blonde with the longer hair. Photo two and three were taken at the same place, Disneyland, another pattern that developed early on. Now that I look at the two photos, side by side, I can also see that my haircut was pretty much the same too! Mom did the bangs in photo two, she must have been into the Mr. Spock look, could she get them any shorter?

As for crazy hair from the teen years, I have tried to destroy those pictures over the years. I do however remember the Toni Perm years when Mom permed just the ends when I had semi short hair. I looked like Princess Lea before anyone knew what Star Wars was. I think George Lucas must have been at my summer camp that year, because I swear to gosh he stole my look! You don't need a picture to figure that one out. @(-_-)@

After hours & hours of searching & fighting with my scanner, here is what is so far the oldest picture of me. It was taken in 1990. I have older, somewhere, I think. I know they made cameras back then. But that's going to take a bit more searching.

Wow LilB,, nice photo!! And seriously, I am like you, I destroy the bad photos whenever I can. I still haven't unearthed any of my permed day photos in the 80's. Truthfully, as soon as the humidity returns I just let my hair go curly so I could easily pass for a permed head in a couple of months!
I am still working on my horse's shot..

What am I doing wrong?

I have the photo on photobucket, I copy the stuff for "forums and bulletin boards" and come over here and paste it in to the "insert image" thingy, and when I go to preview or post the image isn't there! Ugh!

I've had a fast car before ('06 350z), and found out driving a fast car slow in town is even less fun than driving a slow car slow and once I'm on the highway I don't even notice the power, so I decided against the "S".

But, here goes:
Manual MC with British Racing Green/White roof and White hood stripes, Premium and Cold-Weather packages, Xenons with Front+Rear fog lights, factory armrest (I know I'm in the minority of people who like it), white turn signals, and that's really it. I was trying to keep the price low so I can invest more money in fixing up my house.

I'm a fairly recent convert to the new MINI fan club. I liked the look of them but always thought (before I looked into them) that they were expensive and not particularly fuel efficient. I started looking at new cars the middle of last year and was interested in a compact car I could fit comfortably in (I'm 6'3"), and the more I looked the more I kept coming back to the Mini. When I found out the new engine design gave the Justas maneagable performance and stellar gas mileage I decided to go ahead and see them in person. After I test drove one I was hooked! I set the end of February as my order date because I get my Bonus then, and it doesn't really get nice here till mid to late April, so this way It'll get here just in time for spring! Yay Spring!
Other than disagreeing with you on the armrest, your new MINI sounds awesome and I approve of your choices! Congrats! If you can make use of the armrest, I'm sure you will find it comfortable. I do like the squishy top, I would like it if it were located in a place where I could actually make use of it.

Good call on the fog lights.

I didn't think I would need them and now I'm wishing I had them.

Oh, gem gem gem! The backdrop is my MINI mouse pad, here by the desktop, where I carefully placed my old photo and then took a picture of it! The mousepad was part of my MINI Welcome Kit; didn't you get one too?

I wish MINI/mini was always in my life. The first small car my parents got was an old Honda off my grandpa (one of the first little Japanese cars we'd ever seen), followed by a Chevette. If only they had found a way to get a mini....

Too late; apparently we were typing and posting simultaneously! I will accept your cold for the fogginess. Do they make foglights for the brain?

I'm so happy I have blue eyes. Some of the blue shirts I wear really make them pop. My father and sister also have blue eyes; my mother and brother have what we like to refer to as "sh*tty brown eyes."

I find using the "direct link" html works best. (Holy crap - i almost sound like I know what the HE@@ I'm talking about!) But I see you've now been successful! Unfortunately, I can't see your photo until I get home. DARN ARMY WEBSENSORS!!!

The armrest was actually ideally placed for me since the first thing I do before getting in the car is put the seat all the way back till it touches the rear seat. When you do that the armrest is right where your arm goes.

And I argued with myself a bit about the fog lights, but driving through fog is no fun and I wanted all the help I could get if I was somewhere unfamiliar at night in the fog.

You want to know what ended up working for me? Just putting the link itself in this space directly instead of clicking on the "insert image" thingy. IDK, at least it finally worked, huh?

I would need some really tall platforms to sit all the way back like that LOL! How tall are you? I'm 5'3".

I don't think you will regret the choice of getting the fog lights at all because when you need them, you'll have them. It's been foggy here since yesterday evening and I really wish I had them right now.
