OMG! Well, I've got lots to say about everyone's pics! But I'm going to disconnect from this computer and go on my laptop first. When I saw MCWill's pic I went to go look for that "mullet" pic he posted to see if it was really him. Anyway, I saw this other pic of a guy that really grossed me out with his nasty black hair patches and mullet and paleness and... well, I noticed some tiny writing on the pic and at the bottom was a MINI logo! This was a MINI ad!!!

Thanks. It was 1973/4, so I think it was more like a silk, trippy pre-disco hippie kinda shirt than western, but thanks anyway for liking it. My mom has pretty good taste in clothes. My dad gets credit for the eyes though.

 

I didn't get anything like that. I got mine in Europe, and evidently the dealers there don't routinely give anything away. I got carpet floor mats and eventually a navigation disc, but the disc was because the dealer (called dealers there, not MAs) screwed up my order and my husband's BMW order and I intimidated the daylights out of the poor scarecrow. (it was NOT difficult.)

 

OK took a photo with my camera phone but have no way of downloading it to the computer. i thought i could hook my phone to the computer, but i can't...
so i guess i have to wait until hubby gets home with the camera.

 

X- how long have you been back in the States? you must have just gotten back if you got your car in Europe and it is a 2007. Is you hubby back also?

Chances are that if your cell phone can take pics, it can also send them to an email account.

 

We've been back in the states for about a year and a half-ish (yes, together, finally) - but my MINI was the first American spec- MINI ordered in Germany (I ordered it in FEB 07) so I guess I got on the '07 MCS bandwagon early. For about four months I had two identical MINIs - my '04 MCS and my new-at-the-time '07 MCS turbo. It was kinda funny.

We're on schedule to move again in the fall/winter, but I'm trying to convince hubband we need to stay here ONE more year. Not sure if we can do that, based on personnel rotations, needs of the Army, blah blah blah. TDY = temporary duty (= really short trips.) I go TDY often; however, you might mean PCS (permanent change of station) where we haveta move locations. Aside from leaving my wunnnnnnerful old house, it's not all bad...Moving is definitely one good way to clean your house and get rid of clutter!!!

 

Last night around 10:20 I was online and typing away. I was watching LOST (a show that is very confusing to begin with... but multi-tasking while watching is not do-able). So I had this whole email written up and wanted to let everyone know that I'd be back in an hour. Well, I hit "send" and I got this weird error that NAM was down due to technical difficulties. So I typed another little message again and tried to send and same thing. I could see that little green lights were on for the people online but I couldn't get through. I closed the page and tried to go directly to NAM but got the same message. Could connect to other sites but not NAM. Did anyone else have a problem?

So, what I had said last night was about the video I posted and the one that Thyodin (Thy) put up. I found mine whilst looking for a "head up ***" smiley for Gem... no luck... but I did find a smiley having a really bad day.

I loved Thy's video! I had never heard of that person before and I ended up watching some more of his stuff. Pretty funny! Thanks for posting.

Why can't you just send it in a text message to your email account? That's how I get my pictures off my cell phone...but then again, I have unlimited text messaging - another legacy habit from my time in Europe. US Cell phone companies are COMMUNIST SPIES!!!!

BTW... I don't know about the rest of you, but I think it's good when we can laugh about ourselves. I think what made me want to do this was after I watched American Idol a week or two ago. Did anyone see the video clip of Randy Jackson when he was rockin' out with Journey? It was hysterical! He had the tall Gumby hair and the really wild '80's outfit. At the time, I'm sure he was lookin' pretty fly... but looking back now... it's just SO funny.
