Giardia is a protozoan, it causes diarrhea and weight loss, but not loss of appetite. We've got him on panacur for it. It's common in rural areas where water quality isn't as strictly controlled as in larger municipalities.

 

Something weird has been going on with my NAM stuff. Last few days. Usually I get a notification in my email when there has been a post after I have posted. It's not doing that and not showing if I have any pm's until AFTER I log in. I haven't changed any settings with my account and I'm not seeing these notifications in the junk or SPAM boxes? Weird. Anyone else?

 

I think the server is just lagging behind. Mine's doing it too, but it's done it before. Eventually it'll catch up.

 

Yup, I've had the same problem too. Sometimes I won't even get notification when I log in (I've got to look for PMs myself)...

We met!!! We had great fun!! We ate dinner together and didn't leave til, oh, I guess like 6:30-ish, maybe closer to 7.

We met, TN is soooooo sweeeeeeettttt. I had such a great day! I love that we all met, and while waiting, Ola I saw a red mini and thought "oh no she didn't"! but Cab corrected me and said you would drive the pepper white, not the red if you did come!

I will run out to the car and get my camera.... but Hubby of Cab will have much nicer photos i'm sure.
Cab, after scarfing down my dinner and getting to school with 10 minutes to spare, there was a sub - the regular teacher took off and also he forgot to down load our lessons, so we all left very early, I COULD HAVE TAKEN THE NIGHT OFF!!! DARN IT!.
oh well!!! I had a great day anyway!!!

Monday night,, the 31st is perfect!!! I will be a bit bedraggled,, I will be just returning back to work after a vaca and the day is booked a wee bit too tight for my liking,,,,but I will be there!!

Evening folks- this was such a GREAT time! What fun meeting Gem, Cab, Hubby of Cab, O4amini (from the HMP thread, which I think makes her a HMPster...). Red Dragoon and fam are great- we met up in center city and "did" the historic Independence National Historic Park with my cousin, her two younger sons (aged 10 and 8) and my twins, aged 9.5, and me. Mrs. RD (aka The Wife) is a history teacher and took charge, and we all learned something on this trip. Son of RD (aka The Clone) is an Eagle Scout and kept our "cherubs" in order. I was thoroughly impressed.
We made it to KoP, after dealing with some wicked traffic, and met all our wonderful Filly Freebies outside of Chili's by their gorgeous MINI's. Wow! I'm super thrilled to meet these ladies~ Cab and Gem are riots! Gem LOVES bling... really LOVES bling (and chocolate) and Cab... well, let's just say that I also love the smell of horse sweat, hot leather, horse manure, hay, did I mention leather? and a fresh breeze. Seriously, if I could bottle Eau du Cheval, I'd be rich! So needless to say, Cab & I had some fun horse talking time. I've never felt so comfortable sitting between two women I'd never met before, as I did sitting between Gem & Cab- Like sitting between long lost sisters. And O4amini- one of the most sweet women I've ever met... she's just like she sounds when she posts on HMP.
I've gotta hit the hay- I'll be back in the early am as I try to get ready for my next little diversion (driving to Charlotte NC).

Morning Freebees

Twas so cool to meet you cabwy and gemgirlpa at the mini MINI meet in King of Prussia. And to meet o4amini was an added bonus, likewise with Mr. cab. And the Wife had a fun time, I could tell as she did not kick me in the shins during the get-together.

And TNMiniMama it was tons of fun doing the historical in Philly which is where the Wife's expertise proved invaluable and the Clone's cherub handling likewise made for a perfect tour.

x uh oh x we can and will do Philly on 31 August. That sounds like another fun fun get-together.

Good morning all, today I have another great day planned, with my best friend and I doing the girl thing!!!
Wow Just want to thank you all, TN, Cab, RD and 04 MINI (if she comes on here) for such a great time yesterday.
My couple days off with NO STRESS has been exactly what I needed. Last night driving home from school I thought "I AM SO HAPPY". Being back to a happy stree free person is a great feeling!

Glad to hear you guys had a good time! OK, so I'll plan for the 31st to meet up with you guys. We probably have the most flexibility that day, since we control when we leave here! We're staying at a particular hotel in Philly (Hilton Philly City? It's a big shebang conference there, too), so I'm not sure exactly where it is compared to KoP, but ... How about you guys pick a place? My only qualifications are that I'm not a fan of fast foods.

Anyway...it's much cooler out than normal, and today is a retirement function for one of my section personnel - he's a clown, so instead of the normal boring luncheon to say farewell, we're having a "fun" pool party instead. Guess whose brain child THAT was!?!? I figure WTH - if everybody around here can leave "early" for golf, they can leave early to say goodbye to this guy.

Giardia is believed to have been the primary cause of dysentery, that's probably why you felt like you should have known the word. It is transmittable to people.

 

Uhoh,, our date sounds awesome!! Hhmmm,, Gem, surely we can find a place that is fairly close to Philly to help Uhoh out?

Uhoh, I was thinking about Kiki last night too!!! Was wondering where she is,,,etc. etc. we will have to search for her and see if she's posting anywhere else and entice her back to the Freeb's corner!!
