Well thanks for following through with your "promise"! Yes, I would say that those pics qualify! You look very young in that first one and the one with the Jeep! I think you and I share the "curse of cute"... we look young for a long time. Funny thing about the one with your friend... the friend actually looks like the husband for his senior pic. It was a pic taken in Switzerland (where his family lives) but they share a similar hair-do and facial shape is similar as well. I'll have to find his senior pic and then post it and see what you guys think.

So, Gem and Cab- I say that Mr. Alaska has fulfilled his commitment for the photo.

GI JOE still owes us something... has he disappeared? johnmorin never posted either... maybe he doesn't like us?

Still waiting on MINIxB to post something from her younger days too.

(I still remember a certain someone *starts with "M" ends with "D"* that promised us a super mullet too. Yeah... STILL on the naughty list.)

Speaking of old pics... I saw "Chubby Checker" was viewing in the galleries... but he did not stop by and say "HI" to us! What up with that?!?!

 

Ummm... thanks for the welcome to the *a'hem* "club"... and apparently according to TNMM... the Space Alien-Vac bastard spawn . (Yeah TNMM... can't imagine why your mom didn't think that was hysterical. ) I think I might have "central sleep apnea" and it appears to only happen in REM sleep. I have never been a person to snore. I now sound like a "purring little kitten though". (YES, I told the doctor that.) I think it has shown up more now because I take meds to sleep and have for the past 2.5-3 years.

I got a chuckle from the "portable air compressor" Hal... I've already got one from AutoZone... just in case I have to fill my non run-flat. Two birds? One stone?

Hey, funny... Cab and Gem- you guys get worried when your hubs stop breathing. There are so many times when I wish mine would! He snores and it keeps me awake. And SOMETIMES... I have reached over and pinched his nostrils closed. Yes, he knows.

LOL Don't know if I can make MSSD but anyway the story on the Mini. I was wanting to get a new Mini for a while and finally decided to trade in the xB for one. Was looking at getting just a cooper but went to the dealer saturday and saw Artemis sitting there. Had what I wanted and the dealer gave me a good price because he had been there for over 6 months so I got him. Still have the classic and I'm going to keep her. The new Mini costs the same as the classic payments did. The Grandma Mini (classic) is getting new brake parts within the week. Still going to save up for the suspension. Oh and the classic is now paid for. Put what I owed into the new Mini payment. I'm happy with the new Mini. Time to wake up my boyfriend and go for a drive. I see the sun shining.

Perhaps you could clear up some confusion for me. You say that "Artemis" is a "HE"... but when I looked up "Artemis"... all I find is reference to a Greek GoddESS.

So how did you come up with the name "Artemis"?

 

 

Unless she's talking about the Irish WonderLad and slightly dubious child genius, Artemis Fowl...

 

Or maybe it's on reference to Artemis Gordon, the science whizzo sidekick of James West?

 

Actually I did come up with the name from Wild Wild West. Lol but my boyfriend did inform me that artemis is a greek goddess.

REALLY? I thought he looked kinda like a skinny little goober.

Anyway, about pinching the nostrils shut... I know it's probably equivalent to putting shaving cream in his hand and tickling his face with a feather... but MAN his snoring makes me crazy!! I have also held a pillow over his head. Only temporarily though. I know... this stuff will come back to haunt me one day at the murder trial.


**I should add that he's been working out for awhile now... so he's looking much better. And his head has filled out some since those days.(I forgot Cab that you never met him... just met me. )

 

You'd better go read the Artemis Fowl series just to have a second answer ready (he's a science whizz too... and that's all I'm gonna say)

If anyone else makes a comment, you could always say that Artemis had a sex change like the pre-sung dynasty Guanyin (male) who morphed into Kwan Yin (female). Both are/were the bodhisattva of compassion.
