AMVIV 5
I guess my original post was misread. I didn't want to be tied down to a table or anything.
This is more like an frenzied idea, where, if people wanted to, they could just come up and ask about it.
Thanks again.

Juan, for that kind of thing, go right ahead.
Cruz! Good to see you here mate! For any who don't know, cruzman is one of our Sin City MINI Club members who will hopefully be helping with AMVIV.
As for breaking records, with almost 2 weeks left till pre-registration closes, we are already past the total pre-registered cars for last year.

What's the record for distance travelled to got AMVIV???
Oh and side note... what is the weather like down there... We just got dumped on for snow, and to be honest am not sure if I should leave my Blizzaks on for the drive down there.. Seeing as I am going through Chicago, Omaha, and Denver...
Not sure I wanna make that journey with snow on my Potenza's and don't have space to bring my Potenza's with me...

I can't speak for Vegas, but Denver's snow comes and goes. If you're travelling through the mountains via I-70 you can most likely expect a few wet roads, if not a little snow from the sky, it is spring in the Rockies afterall. besides, we've got a saying here: "Don't like the weather? Wait five minutes it'll change."
In all seriousness though I wear all season tires year round, whether it's snowing or not. I don't think you'll need blizzacks here.
Oh, and I'm pretty sure the farthest travelled to get to AMVIV (atleast last year) was from Australia. There's a few on the registration list from down under (no Agro doesn't count in this case). I rather suspect they won't be driving to Vegas.
Is it time to leave yet? I'm mentally ready to be gone.

Furthest traveled? We had people from Australia last year and new Aussies this year. 1 will be driving a MINI into Vegas, but I think he's renting it in LA and driving in from there. We have cars driving in from Florida, Massachusetts, Maine, North Carolina, South Carolina, New York, Ontario (Canada), West Virginia, plus all the closer states. you tell me who's coming the furthest?
The weather here is beautiful! The 10-day forecast says highs from the mid 60s to low 80s and only 1 day in the next ten with a 30% chance of precipitation. All the other days are expected to be sunny. I moved here to get away from that midwest weather.

Ok, well if I were to drive it straight through, no detours.. It would be 2325 miles by mapquest....
I am detouring to Chicago, and Omaha on the way, and maybe stopping over in Denver...
How far are others DRIVING?

I know someone driving from Atlanta to San Diego to Las Vegas. That is 2500+ miles.
Mark is one of the organizers of MOTD. NAM is good to us at the SCMC and AMVIV, but we aren't one of Mark's projects.
In past years, Mark added an ad image on the front page of NAM, but I've been so busy I haven't gotten him an image.

Got any art elements? I could do a couple and email them to you.
Oh and...
according to Google maps 1717 miles
Thanks for the info Cruzman looks like 4 driving lights can be on with the headlights.
KellyGirl you said something about Yankee stadium?

Holy crap Xiek, that's some snow. Denver's had a really mild winter so far; we haven't seen snow like that for many years. It's been probably 5 years since we've had that much piled up (not counting parking lots where the plows make small mountains).
Still can't wait. But here's a question for anyone who participated in last year's AMVIV. Is anyone still wearing their car number? You know, the sticker we got in our registration packets. I am. The star is long gone, but the rest is going strong. Will we be getting new stickers this year Agro?

We will be wearing our summer "shoes" on the trip down. I can't cart both sets of wheels with me, and I don't want to shred my Dunlop Wintersports to pieces once I'm in Nevada. I can just imagine the dollars fluttering out the window with every turn...
I would have my numbers still on my MINI and my Mini, but both cars have new windscreens since AMVIV4. You will get new stickers this time around, and no coloured stars. The stickers will have a different background colour this time to separate them from last years'.
