Some friends of ours are coming up from Georgia to meet us at the tailend on Saturday morning. We are trying to schedule a rendevous time with them. How long does it take to drive the Dragon? We are going to try and launch early Saturday Morning to try and beat the crowd.

 

Probably 20-25 minutes, depending on how fast you drive, how
well you drive, road conditions, and traffic. Oh, and that's just
to get from the Crossroads to Tabcat Bridge. Allow another 15-20
minutes to get from Fontana (assuming that's where you're staying)
to the Crossroads (NC-28 & US-129).

I'm sure someone will have a different opinion. *grin*

 

From Fontana Village to the Overlook, let the brakes cool for a few minutes and back to Fontana Village takes 1 hour.
