Any Germans attending???

My wife loves the idea of being at MotD 2006, but not the idea of being only 1 out of 598 who is German.

So, if anyone is German or speaks it, we'd love to catch up with you at the Dragon.

Chad

There are a few MINI folk going to MOTD who speak German. We'd be thrilled to have you both join us! Don't be shy....come on down! We will say "Wilkommen!"

Don't worry, we'll be there! Room at the Fontana Inn reserved, signed up for welcome and farewell dinner, will be going to watch autox on Saturday to see if we'd be interested in doing it ourselves in the future, and all around just hanging out and seeing where the wind takes us.

I go to Munich every year and know how to order a few things in German as well as thank her several different ways in German for coming to the Dragon!

She will feel welcome, we will do our best to make sure of it!... Do I need to bring my leiderhosen and wear them around...

Lederhosen won't be necessary, but I'll make sure I pass along the offer.

I am German indeed, as in "born and grown up in Germany to a German father and mother". Not as in "likes German chocolate" or "has a German Shepherd dog".

Chad, be sure to check out the big FL board, www.sunshineminis.org, which has a German forum in which they post in German. The site admin, James, whose NAM username is jamesday24, speaks fluent German and is very active on NAM's Collectibles forum: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...play.php?f=116

I think James is attending, and if so, I'm sure he'd love to chat with your wife.

I'll make sure and tell my wife to be on the lookout for "Moskito" and not the pesky blood sucking ones.
