Dragon Parade, starts @ 9am. Last year I think everyone started to gather about 8:30a at the base of Fontana Dam. Then at parade time, we travel as a group the rest of 28, to Deal's Gap, then north on 129 through the Dragon.

How far does the parad of MINIs stretch out, must be too cool to see that many MINIs in a line. Great opportunity for a aerial pic.

I contacted someone about that....someone who lives and flies in the area, and hopefully, some pix will be taken. No promises.....just hoping.

With all the switchbacks on the Dragon, you will be able to see the head or tail or in between of the Parade. That is, your Navigator can see it. The driver can only see what is ahead and the double yellow line whizzzzzzzzing by. Believe me, it is not a time for the driver to be sightseeing. If you are by yourself, find someone else to share the ride. Sometimes, there are 3 in a car and one of them might want to go.
BTW- there is a great view of the parade making up at the base of the dam. Go to the top of the dam, right turn out of Fontana and look for the sign at the Y in the road. Make sure you leave there in time to get into the parade.

Motor On!! Safely.
