Ladies, check-in here!

I'm just curious how many MOTD4 attendees will be women that are the owner/primary driver of the MINI in the family. Or are as involved in the MINI as their SO?
I'm the MINI nut in the house, my husband will be coming to MOTD4 but will be driving his Nissan Titan Crew Cab pick-up, and is coming up because he likes the area and will be there to fish/boat/hike.

post a pic of you with your MINI if you so wish, guess I'll start.

I've been to every MOTD since the first one in 2003, which we referred to as "Tail of the Dragon," I believe. For MOTD-2004, I co-founded the Inaugural Chili Cook-Off; for MOTD-2005, I co-organized the Welcome Dinner and the First Annual Cigar Sampling Salon; this year I am co-hosting the Second Annual Cigar Sampling Salon, co-producing the Off Topic Band Dragon Jam, as well as helping with Midnight on the Dragon. Hurray for MKO!

I live in Los Angeles and drive cross-country every Spring visiting MINI pals all along the way. MOTD is always the centerpiece of my trip! I also go to the Dragon in July and October.

My MINI is a 2003 MCS named Wicked Wanda. She has 56,000+ miles on her odo. Every Spring she gets a makeover. This year's: she got new shoes today and will be getting a Milltek Exhaust, HR Compound Rear Sway Bar, and fresh chrome bonnet stripes at the Dragon.

Clo, I'm so psyched to meet you, although I feel like I already have

I can't believe you do that drive 3 times a year, that is dedicated (or insane? ).

So how long does it take you?

Not long now, actually I'm walking out the door right now to go on a "Pre-MOTD" run to the Dragon with the Atlanta MINIs.

The MINI is definitely MY car, though they hubby definitely likes my Bruno. We'll both drive Bruno on the Dragon though. This is the only pic I could easily find of me and my MINI

Both my dad and I have MINIs, but I had mine first (even if he did buy it for me...)! We'll both be at the dragon with both MINIs. I'm so excited!!

What is it the Tshirts say? Damsels of the Dragon?

I'll be there. Husband and I both are Miniacs with separate MINIs and a shared classic Mini.

I've posted this picture before so you may have seen it already. Me and Casper's Ghost (the white MINI ) in the corkscrew at Laguna Seca. And then just me cutting out the template to add a Dinan intake to new and improved Super Casper last Saturday. I'm running over to meet Annette and others at the Dragon today to try Casper's new Dinan upgrades!! Intake, exhaust, pulley.

2ndMiniac, you are doing the autox, aren't you?

Since I'm a family of one I guess I have to be the MINI lover. Although, after getting my first Cooper back in 2003, my parents fell in love with them and bought a Cooper of their own. My Mom came to the Dragon with me last year driving Charlie, her 2003 IB/W Cooper. The parents live in China now and Charlie lives at their vacation cabin, so I guess Grimace is an only child.

Grimace - my 2006 MCS We'll pass 2500 miles on our drive home from work today.

I guess I should post in this one!

That's me and Trix 2 back when she was stock... awww.. just a baby. (a couple more are in my gallery) She is very much not stock now. A little beast!

My other half is just as much of a MINI/car nut as I am. It's actually a good part of how we met. I am a true car fanatic and have been for my entire life. It's a very fun interest to share, chasing each other through twisties is just fabulous. Plus, no one complains about the other wanting to work on cars or go to shows. Plus it's great to get to drive two MINIs!

As for driving, I like to think I'm pretty quick and can easily hold my own. I'll talk cars with anyone as well.

Pretty much all of my free time and $$ goes into that little red car and I wouldn't have it any other way.

And besides... what's hotter than a girl in fast car!

The Mini (Minerva) is my car. I let the SO drive her and he buys parts for her - but she is my car. I will be letting him take a run or two on the dragon too.

I dont have any pictures of my with the car in its present form, but I am hard to miss - checkers almost everywhere on the car and me with bright red hair.

I was the 1st to have a MINI in our 2 MINI family. MY S (my license plate) was the 25th S to be imported into Maryland in '02. I just had a 15% pulley and air intake added to it. Last year, the car was lowered and swaybars put in front and back.
This will be my 4th Dragon and my second time at the Fontana. I don't have any pics, but look for a DK SLVR S, black&white racing stripes on the bonnet, and a total roof grey-toned Union Jack. I have a sticker on the rear windshield with the same saying as in my tag line, and "Rules the bends, bends the rules" just below the window spoiler. I'll also have DCMetroMINIs placard showing somewhere on the car.
I look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones this year.

I took Isabelle home in January of 2003. My husband got so jealous that he could not drive her that in 2004 we bought an MCS for him. Now we are a two MINI family. An 03 MC IB/W and an 04 MCS also IB/W.

This will be our third Dragon.

I am doing the autocross, in the Ladies PAX class. Anyone know who the other two in that class are? I'm still mostly a novice, so it'd be nice to know how skilled my competition is.

BTW, this will be my first MOTD, and my first time actually driving the dragon, but I've been up there a few times on other occations.

Annette, I do a 6-8 week roadtrip every Spring, but fly to MINI friends' in July and October to motor up/down (depending on who I visit) to the Dragon with them. I've been able to drive from the Florida Panhandle to Los Angeles in 2.5 days. Haven't ever driven directly to The Dragon, always take my own quirky and very rambling route.

The MINI is MINE! (I'm a family of 1) My brother will also be attending MOTD for the 3rd time, and he has his own MINI. My SO has his own MINI too - that's how we met. My parents have an old MGT. I love that all the important people in my life understand the whole "MINI thing"!

If you somehow missed seeing a photo of me on other threads, there are a bunch in my gallery. I will be sans Malibu Stacy at the Dragon (couldn't take enough time off work to drive).

Oh, I am also the Treasurer of a MINI Club here in DC - DCMM ..

Hi there Ladies,
Are we excited or what?? I sure am.

My little MINI is properly moded with a 15% pully, Alta cold air intake, light Rota wheels, Toyo Potenza T1-R tires, Milltek exhaust and lotsa vinyl graphics. Waylan will install a rear sway bar either Thurs or Fri at the Dragon...can't wait to try that on.

I use Joy in my embroidery biz. She's a rollin' billboard...that nobody misses. The meatballs have my biz name on 'em.

Joy the MINI has become my vehicle of personal freedom since I took posession in 04. I'm constantly amazed at God's creativity when it comes to giving us exactly the blessing we need to encourage us to bloom and grow. For me it was my MINI.

She's been with me through thick and thin. Took me fearlessly through the Dragon during some of my darkest days. I truly love that nimble car.

I remember you Clover at the Fall Dragon. Will be sure to look you up. QueenBee...peepers are looking great. Look forward to meeting everybody else too...not soon enough!

Rebecca

I am the MINI maniac in my family. I have a yellow 04' MCS and the SO has a huge yellow Dodge Ram Super Bee, so it is cute to see them together. I love curves. Been to the Dragon several years now, but always on my motorcycle, then I saw the MINI, so now I have both! The first week of May is an annual bike week for our motorcycle chat room, and it works out great that the MOTD is at the same time. I drive Brit down to TN, while the SO pulls the motorcycles with his rig.

no bathrooms on the Dragon itself. How pregnant is she? Perhaps, if she's far along, she should stay closer to home...

Robin, how far along is she? The Dragon run itself is only 11 miles. At one end is The Crossroads of Time/Deal's Gap. There's a little souvenir shop and grille there, with a restroom. If she's at all prone to nausea, she may be VERY uncomfortable on the Dragon....it has a LOT of hairpin turns. Many folks who are fine driving it don't do so well as passengers. Hope that helps.

So....are we meeting at Barnes & Noble in Destin tomorrow at 10 AM?
