Wow, great to hear from so many of you. Maybe a T-shirt is in order, is anyone here a graphic artist type???
So I was gone all day on my first "Dragon Run" with about 10 other Atlanta Minis (ok we also had an EVO, a Lotus and a Solstice in the group, but for today they were MINIs to me ).
I have been to the area a bajillion times, way back in high school but for some reason don't really remember that much about it
Anyway, I stayed at the back of the pack and had a running conversation with myself the entire time. I was talking myself through each turn, the way my instructor made me do at Driving School. For me, taking it at a slower pace than the group was the best choice, I could pay attention to me and my car and my immediate surroundings and knew I'd see them at the end. The group was great and I'm sure a good time was had by all.
I finally got to meet QueenB, who I'm sure doesn't remember, but I PM'd her before I ordered El Kabong to ask permission to print some pics of Casper to show my husband how cool a PW/B could look. Thanks again Donna, you rock!!!!
I had to leave after only one run up and back because my husband and I had a prior commitment so I wanted to make sure I got home in time.
Now I'm really psyched!
Annette

It is so cool to see so many women in the driver's seat - pun intended. When they were first released over here, my husband saw a web ad and told me that he'd found my next car. It took me about 3 years, but I finally got my little guy. This past Sunday was his 1st birthday. I'm looking forward to our first Dragon for several reasons, but I'm really hoping it will help me to decide on what modifications I want to do first, I'm still researching a few and am guessing I'll have made a decision by the time the weekend is over.
Like some of you, we're about to become a 2 MINI household. He'll be ordering his in the next few weeks. He was a nervous wreck when we first brought Andy home, but has grown accustomed to steading himself when he sees a curve coming our way and has figured out that it's not nerves he's feeling it's the adrenaline!! Can't wait to meet everyone!

I don't have a good picture of me with the car - all of them have me with a panicked look on my face as I try to exit the frame. But here's one from the day we brought him home.

My first mod was a Borla exhaust (still think its my favorite mod). Something about being "loud"!

Annette, as I've posted before (in the Driving the Dragon thread), I don't drive as fast as I can on the Dragon. My goal is for a smooth run. And I absolutely focus on the road and staying in my lane. I only look at the beautiful surroundings when I am stuck behind a slow-poke, or if I am a passenger. I'm glad you had a chance for a test-run! Very cool! See you soon!

shirt idea

I was just playing around while waiting for a file to process. just something silly - do not mean to offend anyone if this is perceived to be something else. Just something fun.

No big deal - like I said I was just playing around.

Um....I've always particularly disliked those mudflap graphics, sagworks. But, it doesn't matter because I am NOT a tee-shirt wearer....I only collect them.

I am definately a MINIac! We got the first MINI in March of 03 and it has 84,000 miles already! (We don't get out much though ) We now have a second MINI that we got Feb. 06. It already has almost 6,000 miles on it!

There are no mods on the newest MINI, and just a few on the other...Borla, K&N.....I think a sway bar is in the near future on the 03 (if I can get Waylan to stay home long enough to get one installed).

This will be our 3rd MOTD. I am getting very excited to see everyone!

Can

I collect 'em and wear 'em...but sorry, Sher...I'm not crazy about the mudflap female, either. What about a picture of a dragon with lipstick and long eyelashes? Talk about something silly.. .

I was thinking about something to do with the fact that chicks don't "slay" the dragon so much as we force it to submit (insert batting eyelashes)!
Maybe a damsel with a dragon on a studded leash?

Cool, I didn't have time to really look yesterday so I'll check at MOTD.

So what about a Chick's Rule (the Dragon, that is) kind of thing with the MOTD4 insignia on it?

I am the Mini owner in our house! Hubby drives a GMC truck?! I guess that is good because it can haul all of "Phase IV's" stuff. I am feeling sad dabout parting with her, or replacing her. She is part of the family. I just have to remind myself she WILL find a good home. (in case some of you did not jnow i have put down a deposit on the new JCW GP)

Look me up at MOTD and ask to see her baby book!! I have it from the day I got her keys handed to me up to her first check up! Our photos are in my gallery. Sorry I do not know how to attach them here.

Me and Baby Blue are coming in alone My husband can't make it because of work constraints and the "kids"(dogs) This will be my first dragon. Oh yeah I am excited about it. People at work think I am crazy, but of course they don't have a Mini Hope to meet some of you all in Fontana. It is like a HUGE family reunion.
I am the solo Mini owner in the house. Of course I think I am going to have to buy Jay one just to shut him up...LOL No really!!!

This is terrific! And the 3XL tee makes a fantastic nightshirt...to sleep in and dream of Dragonslaying!
