So maybe its just my college schedule, but fall of the dragon is during mid-terms for first semester and the MOTD is right in the middle of finals. I know that applies for atleast a few other college kids on here. Anyone want to go down either a little bit earlier or later and have our own runs?

I dont know....just a thought, I'm just jealous that i haven't been able to make any of the dragon events due to exams

 

Its not exactly finals for me, but I go to a miltary academy and we have "manditory activies" that weekend (parades, military stuff) that has always been on the same date. Ive never been, and this year im thinking of going maybe tues-friday, because I have to be back saturday.

 

That would actually be pretty fun. Although i don't go to school, it'd be cool to hang out with a bunch of people my age with MINI's Not to mention, much smaller crowd too.

No idea right now....I was just gauging interest, and if we get enough people we will start figuring out when people CAN make it. I know that we probably all have exams close to the same time, but we want to account for everyone being able to make it (graduation, events such as yours, end of the year projects etc).

And of course, this event would work for any non-college student who couldn't make it to the MOTD as well (work, family events, etc)

 

We just need to publish our available dates so we could have a time-period.
I was planning to come down the tuesday of that week, may 2, and leave either friday 5, or saturday 6. (have to be back saturday)


I am hoping to spend some time with this group, and a couple of days at the real thing. It sounds pretty huge.

 

I think it would have to be after MOTD, since that's when finals are, right?

Maybe early June or something? So it's not roasting out...

We can all get Inn rooms and split with each other to save moolah too. The one time i went to the Dragon, i was rarely in my own room all weekend.

I've never been in a cabin, but some should get one to party in :P Too bad i'll STILL be under 21 til mid August.

 

As a teacher who works through the fall event and MOTD, I am SO in for this if it happens.

Should we throw dates out to see which would work? I'm good for after june, before sept, and the week of the 10th in april! hahaah, that doesn't leave much...what was everyone else thinking?

FYI: Just consider that during the summer the Dragon can be very, very crowded and highly patrolled. The MINI dates were picked out of necessity to some degree if I remember the original threads.

This will be my thrid year going as a college student. Depending on the date I'd be up for another event. AutoXing and track days come frist though, less cliffs to worry about. Next years MOTD should be easier though, grad school only 2 hours away!

I'd be very interested, but may is just a little too far ahead for me to plan right now, my exams end the day MOTD begins, so getting up there in time MOTD would be difficult for me and this sounds like a very good alt. plan.

I'd really like to do this. I'm in college and the normal Dragon time is at crunch time for me due to finals, then I have a two week field camp thingy I need to go on and that will take me up to early June. If any later dates work, I am tentatively in. To clarify though, I am a 40 year old student, but I hang and camp with my younger classmates all the time so I tend to think and act like a 20 somthing and not a 40 year old.
