Heck yeah! The bbq will be open to anyone who wants some grub and socializin'.

Jeff, glad you got the shirt man. I'm saving mine for the Dragon but its damn tempting to throw it on. See you in a couple weeks. And don't forget, if you want to come to Asheville on Thursday the wife & I are going to check out the biltmore.

Glad to hear it Barry.

Enough people are rumbling that didn't get shirts. Anyone else interested in another small run of t-shirts? Post or email me if you are and if enough people are down for it I'll do it.

Matt

I'm so confused!

Red Ryder - I am having a Sea Dog Blue Paw emergency!

I can't find Blue Paw anywhere around here, but I found a Sea Dog "Special Brew" blueberry wheat ale. Sea Dog makes no mention of it on their website, so I'm wondering if they just changed the name, rather than have two blueberry wheats?

I can say one thing with certainty: I am drinking one right now, and it's really good!

I can't find Ipswich IPA either (except in the cooler), so I'm going to have to find another local brew to bring. Is it too late for that, Matt? Did you already make signs and stuff?

Two weeks to go and things are getting hectic.

Chris, I am printing the list Saturday. As long as you get me your beer list by say, 9am CST Saturday morning, then I'll be able to add it on the print out. Feel free to bring that special Blueberry brew. I know I'd like to try that.

UPDATE/EDIT: Ok I talked to Fontana and we ARE in the Old Administration Building which is the only building on the Hwy (28). It's exactly where I have marked on the map I posted earlier.

The room is large and has a large covered porch with rocking chairs. So we should be able to fit everyone and hopefully people will mingle on the porch or rock n' drink in the chairs.

If any of you are interested in the Pre-Brew Swap BBQ please go to the new thread for that and add your name to the list.

The details aren't up yet but I wanted to start a list of people so I can prepare contact lists.

Just add your name to the list if you want to join us.

Matt

Thanks for offering! But I think I'm all set with the blueberry. I seriously think it's the same thing; I just think they changed the name. My roommate and I finished off a six pack of it last night - great stuff!

Matt, I'll figure out tonight what else I'm bringing and e-mail you! Possibly something from Buzzard's Bay Brewing Co...

Sounds good Chris. 9am tomorrow is the magic hour for printing.

A note for all Brew Swap Participants:

As you know I drafted a waiver of liability for eveyone attending the swap to sign. I will have enough copies of these for everyone who is coming including guests.

If you would like to speed up the check-in process, which would be greatly appreciated, you can print out the waiver before you come to toe Dragon and have it pre-filled out and ready to go.

Go to http://passatdotd.tripod.com/waiver.html to obtain the waiver. You can either hit the print button in your browser (should fit on an 8.5"x11" sheet) or you can copy and paste the text of the waiver in a Word Document. If you print from the browser don't worry about the ad. It doesn't matter that its on the print out.

Please initial after each paragraph where the space is provided then sign & print your name at the bottom. It'd be best to stick the waiver in the box with your beer to keep from forgetting it.

Thanks to everyone in advance for doing this. If you do it and forget to bring it to the swap don't panic. I will have copies there for people to fill out.

Thanks to Va_Bene for this suggestion.

Matt

Done. I printed it, signed it and stuck it in the case of beer I'm bringing (that way I can't forget it!).

See everyone soon!

Great idea, I'll do mine this weekend. I'd do it at work but since I work at an Elementary School, I'm sure the principal would frown on this since the printer I use is in her office

It appears as though all I need to do is say "beer" and you guys salivate like pavlov's dog. And I'm pretty sure after I say beer all you hear me say is "blah blah blah blah".

But I wanted to make this brew swap special so I went around hitting companies up for stuff to give away. If you regularly visit the brew swap website you'll notice the addition of several sponsors. These guys have kindly donated prizes. They are; Detroit Tuned, Coopersport.ca, Motoring File, Helix Minisports & the Whalen Shift Machine.

Along with that I was able to con, I mean, convince several breweries to donate stuff. Go to http://passatdotd.tripod.com/doorprizes.html to see some of the stuff that I'll be giving away.

Enjoy

Still no Founder's IPA. Hopefully next week. Prizes are awesome. I am bringing the shirt from Founders. I don't know whose MINI will be more crammed with stuff ... yours or Chad's from Detroit Tuned!

I'm planning as I write this how we're fitting everything into our car!!!

BTW, Matt...Is it OK if we bring addition beers not on your list that we may find and pick up at the last minute on our journey down to MOTD? Not to make your life more difficult or stressful right now, but you never know what we'll find in the beer cellars of Milwaukee!

Most definitely Chad's. I really don't have a lot of stuff to bring. I mean, yeah the MINI will be full but it won't be overloaded. I have my rear seat removed and that helps out a lot.

Kim, it's 100% ok to bring beers that aren't on your list as long as you still bring what you told me. I will note the additional beers down when you check-in. I'd like to have a list at the end of the swap of every beer that was brought in.

Awesome! And don't worry, we've already bought/packed the beers I told you, so they're coming!

For shame on you guys for letting this thread fall to the 2nd page of the MOTD forum. Heh.

Ok the Master Beer Lists are printed, the funny beer qoutes are printed, the place tags for where each of you will place your beer are printed.

I printed up 100 copies of the beer list and the beer qoutes. So I will ask that if you are a husband/wife or bf/gf couple to just take one instead of two. I'll have some leftover at the end of the night if people do that and then anyone who wants an extra can have one.

There are 122 people attending this event.
We have beers coming from approximately 80 different breweries. And I think over double that amount of different varieties.
