Matt, Liked the way you put the t-shirts in plastic bags to keep their "freshness", don't want anyone getting "skunked" t-shirts

Even though there is already a separate thread for the BBQ, I thought I'd briefly mention here that you can now register and pay for the BBQ here: http://www.pittstopmini.org/BBQ.htm

Just dropping back in to say that the Sea Dog Blueberry Wheat has become the favorite beer of my household. I told my roommate that I was going to Trader Joe's yesterday, and she gave me cash without even having to tell me what she wanted. It's really good grilling on the porch beer. Red Ryder, I'll try to save some for you.

You best save one to swap with me Chris.:impatient

I'll hook you up with either the strawberry lager or purple haze. I'd bet those would be the two you'd like the best.

And thanks for bringing the thread up out from the depths. As you saw in that other thread this is the most posted in thread, by far, in this forum.

That means we're some freaking alcoholics.

10 days to go...everyone getting ready?

Just a reminder on what you should bring.

1. BEER!

2. Bottled water, to wash your mouth out so you aren't co-mingling beers while tasting. Don't want everything to taste like that blueberry wheat you tried 30 minutes ago.

3. Sample beers: hey, take 1 or two out of your stock and make them chilled samples for folks to try. For those doing the sampling, don't take a large sample. Leave some for the others.

4. Sample cups: I'll have extras but not enough for everyone. Dixie cups would probably be good. If you take a sample using a dixie cup I'd better not see you fill it more than halfway!

5. Ice Chest: Need somewhere to chill your samples and bottled water.

6. Folding/Collapsible chairs: I truly don't know how well we'll all fit into the building but if we have the room then your chairs are welcome. You may wish to sit and chill by your stock after mingling for awhile. There's also a porch with rocking chairs.

That's all I can think of. Others chime in if you think I am leaving something out.

Woo Hoo! Beer!

I am going to start my conditioning training this weekend.

Only had one beer in a few months, so I need to get used to some again. Other than that, looking forward to it.

Reeb?

Jon, I think the building has a bathroom. I'll check with John Bunch. I need to call him today anyways.

I talked to Fontana and there IS a bathroom in the building so fear not, those dixie cups can be used just for drinking.

Hey Matt, it's Matt from Mandeville. I'm in Birmingham today and don't have access to my personal email. I'm gonna pick up a bunch of Sweetwater Brewery beer tomorrow before I head back home. You can check out there stock at www.sweetwaterbrew.com. I'm also going to double up on what you're bringing from Abita. Have you had a chance to contact the folks at the Abita Brewpub regarding some promotional giveaway stuff? If not, I can run up there this weekend. It's just up the road from me. Actually, I was quite chummy with the owners daughter for a while, so I should be able to score something for us, giveaways that is.

See ya soon,
Matt

Feel free to hit up the Abita people for prizes. The waitress when I went to the brew pub was dumber than the chair I was sitting on so I didn't bother trying to explain the brew swap to her.

If it's not giveaways you score, you are now obligated to share details of your "score" with the Brew Swap.

Matt - I'm in the process of figuring out my schedule for the week and wanted to confirm the time for the check in for the brew swap. On your site it says 8:30 pm but I seem to remember reading somewhere (on this thread I think) that check in started at 8 pm. Which is it?

P.S. Had to hide the beer -- its too tempting and we keep wanting to drink it... =)

I need to change the site. Check-In will start at 8pm with the show getting started at 9pm.

I'll also be sending out an email this weekend which will probably be the last and should have all the details.
