Attendance threads and RSVPs

Everyone,
Michael made a post yesterday relative to the various threads for event attendance. I wanted to provide a little information on what NAM will be doing to support these events as well as others at the 2005 MINIs on the Dragon.

Tomorrow, hopefully, I will be launching a new area of NAM that will be a guide to the event. This will include the ability to RSVP for events like the Midnight Run, Cades Cove Drive, Mountain Biking, and anything else that people want to include in the area. I'll also be providing, next week, the ability for the coordinators of the event to see who has signed up for those events (when launched everyone will see the NAM usernames of those that have registered for each event).

The purpose of the area will be to provide information on as much as possible relative to the event as well as provide a means that each attendee can manage his/her plan for the event...making it easy to attend. With this in mind each attendee will be able to see what he/she has signed up/registered for as well as what they haven't.

Furthermore I'll also be providing the ability to sign up for email notifications when events are added or that new information about the event becomes available.

As soon as I have this area ready I'll get it announced here in this forum as well as on the NAM home page, Main Menu, and Pulse.

Thanks for hanging in there while I've been coding (~80 hours so far) to help support the event.

Mark

Just wanted to provide an update on the NAM MOTD area. I've been struggling with an oncoming cold for a couple of days but I've been able to make some headway while heavily medicated. Given this I'm a bit behind where I wanted to be today so it looks like it will be over the weekend. Thanks for your patience...I do think you're going to like/find useful what I've been working on for the event.

Yay! NAM's Dragon Events Calendar is on the way! Take care, Mark! Eat some chicken soup, drink some tea, down the Vit. C, and ha ha, try to rest!

BamaGirl I was making reference to Soma as in Aldous Huxley’s “Brave New World”.

I think it’s more of the supposedly perfect pleasure-drug, psychic anaesthetizing kind of thing.

Everyone the new MOTD area of NAM is now up and operational! You should be able to find a link to the area in the Main Menu block on the left side of the page. In the next few minutes I'll also create a thread here in the forum if you have questions on how the event planner works or if you find something not working quite like was anticipated.

Thanks!

Sorry for the stupid question, but is the registration per vehicle or per person?

Lois asked a similar question on a different thread, and Mark suggested that she buy the Deluxe pkg. and get the Basic reg. pkg. for her SO plus order an additional t-shirt! Hope that helps!

For additional questions relative to the event, event planner, MOTD area, please jump to this thread.

Now that the MOTD area has been launched I'll close this thread.

Thanks!

Mark
