Hi Mark,
Since I am bringing my SO along does he need to be registered also. If so, do I do a $5 registration & an extra t shirt for him?

Thanks,
Lois

If he is planning to drive I would recommend the $5 registration so that he can be covered under the event policy. After that just order an extra t-shirt.

Thanks!

I don't like IE either (being on a Mac) but I have found that Firefox is better than all of them...its free, on all platforms, and is actually a descendant of Netscape.

Older versions of Netscape don't always support the style sheet definitions and javascript that is used on NAM as a whole. (Neither does IE for the Mac)

Thanks Mark for the info. I use Foxfire, but the latest version didn't come with a email option and I was wanting to see the responce come in. I'll switch next time.

Mark, I am new at this, as it is my frst year so bear with me.

1) What is this registration thing and does everyone attending the dragon event have to register?
2) The Cades Cove drive was my idea so do I need to sign up for that or am I the one already signed up?
3) Also, after reading about the insurance information, am I responsible for the attendies of the Cades Cove drive? (liability wise, etc...)
4) My mother is attending with me but she will not be driving. (due to just having a total knee replacement. No, I'm not being mean to her ) Does she need to register too?

Thanks for all the help, and answers. Sheri

Michael (mbabischkin) can probably address this better as he has worked with the insurance carrier but I will take a swing at it...

To be covered by the event policy everyone that intends to drive in one or more of the driving events (or is bringing their car) should register. This also insures the future of the event relative to people putting forth effort in coordinating the event so that they alone are not being a liability risk.

Since you are leading you don't need to sign up. Others that are interested should sign up as space is limited.

No...since this is a driving event all those that go along will be covered by the policy as long as they have their event registration card(s) in their car. That said, people who show up and do not have their card, should not be permitted to do the drive with the group.

If she won't be driving (and doesn't get tired of being the passenger) then I don't think a registration is needed. That said if she did purchase the basic registration ($5.00) she would be, without any question, be part of the group and therefore covered by the policy for driving events as well as non-driving events such as the dinners.

Hope this helps. Michael/Patricia will likely add some comments based on their knowledge of the policy.

Mark,

I was attempting to semi-coordinate a pulley party with Eric from Helix at the Dragon. Do I need to, or should I want to, be included in your system here?

Thanks

Mark hit this right on the head, although just to clarify the event insurance is not designed to, nor is it intended to replace you personal auto insurance policy. However, it will protect you as the organizer and the registered participants of your event if somebody on the drive lost control, hits a tree and then decides to file a lawsuit against the organizers and participants of the event...

If she won't be driving (and doesn't get tired of being the passenger) then I don't think a registration is needed. That said if she did purchase the basic registration ($5.00) she would be, without any question, be part of the group and therefore covered by the policy for driving events as well as non-driving events such as the dinners.
Again right on the nose. In terms of how the coverage works, you get the same coverage if you just decide on the basic package or the opt for the full registration package.

Looks like I need to adjust the query to not duplicate entries. Your order in the store was correct so I'll look at what is causing the entry to be doubled in the list.

I've sent an email to Smoky Mountain MINIs as they are coordinating the Cook Off. As soon as I receive rules I'll get them up in the MOTD area.

Thanks

You have a couple of options. The first is you can manage it yourself via email, PM, etc. The other option is to have me add an area into the MOTD area which will manage the sign-ups and number of spaces available. Given this is vendor related I will need to charge a fee to do this but it shouldn't be a great deal. If you want to go this route have Eric contact me and we can figure out what he needs and I can come up with a quote for him.

The nice thing about integrating it into the site is that people will see it in the event planner and be able to RSVP easily.

Thanks

Mark

I did register twice, but that was for me and mom. Will that be confusing? If so how do I change it? I wanted mom to have the insurance too in case she thinks she can drive a stick shift with her knee.

Mine did the same with a September 2005 exp. Used an alternate as well.

No worries. At the event I'll provide you with two event registration cards and you can give one to your Mom with her name on it.

Thanks!

I located a bug in the script that checks the expiration date. You should now be able to submit your order. Let me know if you have any additional problems. Thanks!

Mark, on the registration info page https://www.northamericanmotoring.com/motd-reg there is a counter in the top right corner. Should it be displaying the names of those that have registered?
