MITM ~ Thursday unofficial events :)
Starting Thursday morning, we are planning a drive up the hill from Denver to Copper, with lunch on the way.
edit---map provided by Vinni_MINI---> map link
Here is the plan so far. Meet at 0800am at Detailers Paradise in Denver, www.detailersparadise.com . Heather from Detailers Paradise said she will have some snacks for those that are there, so we can shop and eat at the same time . Richard, OctaneGuy, will also be there. In fact, Richard will be in Denver starting Monday...so for those that want to stop by Detailers Paradise during the week, you will be set!!! Between Nick, Heather, and Richard, there is no better place to get detailing advice!!!!
1745 South Broadway
Denver, Colorado 80210
From there we plan on leaving Detailers Paradise parking lot at 0830am to visit Randy at Webb Motorsports. www.webbmotorsports.com
3911 Norwood Drive
Littleton, Colorado 80125
I figure we would leave Webb and start to head up the hill around 9am or so. The departure time from Webb Motorsports is flexible as it somewhat depends on Randy's install schedule. I know people want to meet him and see the shop, and soak up a bit of his ever popular knowledge!!!! Some people or vendors are taking up big loads, so they have little interest in doing the Western Dragon. For those that want the twisty/scenic drive, I was thinking a driving through Fairplay, then over the pass into Breckenridge...and we can stop there for lunch and some pictures, etc. Then motor over to Copper Mountain which is about 20 mintues from there. Check in, get settled for those looking for a room, maybe wash the cars, etc. Then the Beer swap, then Dinner in Frisco around 6pm so we can hook up with the evening drive around 8pm as they drive by.
Let me know your thoughts, and who is interested in the morning drive up the hill and who is interested in dinner. I will keep a running tally!!!

Just testing. Does this link show the proposed Fariplay/Breck route? First from Detailer's then to Webb then...
Yup, that is the exact route. Thanks Vince!!!. Do you want to print that up for people? As the list grows we will have a number. If not, I can print it up.
So, are you in on the drive?

don't know about the morning drive, have to get my daughter's Scion tC up to Copper so Aesthetic Creations can put on some graphcis for her, and then back to Golden to pick up my MINI and return for the evening festivities. So we'll probably do the Frisco dinner so long as the Brewfest doesn't keep us there too long! 1 adult + 1 pre-teen.

Hey Jon,
Sign me up for the drive to Copper. My wife will be with me. Unknown about dinner in Frisco tho. Will be at the brewswap.
Regarding the map link, I was able to creat a pdf using Cute PDF Writer, but when attemping to view the file with Acrobat Reader, it brought 3 different computers to their knees. Maybe a Cute problem?? Anyway, anyone who can view the above link should be able to print from there. I'll keep an eye on this thread to see if we can still use some handouts! Maybe someone else can create a pdf that works?

PDF Map -- Denver to MITM2
Thanks to gtshnzr for creating a pdf file of the (current) route from Denver to MITM2. I'll attach it here. Let me know if anyone has a problem with the file (my pdf didn't work but I think this one does).
The starting point is Detailer's Paradise at 1745 S. Broadway, Denver.
Time is gettin short!

not sure where we will go, I was gonna kinda leave that up in the air, as some people may want to eat something different. There are a ton of places to eat on Main Street in Frisco, but if everyone wants to leave it up to me, I can pick one and make a reservation so we can all eat at the same place, and at the same table, or group of tables.
What are your thoughts on this?

It's totally official...heard from Randy Webb, he is totally down with the Thursday morning plan....so, Thursday morning drive is set in stone...but we can change the route to up through I-70 to Bergen Park and hit the western Dragon if that is what folks want to do.....I thing no matter which way we go, there will be plenty of fun and great scenery.
again, let me know what you all think.
Wooooo Hoooo, this is gonna be fun!!!

OK, here is my dinner plan for those that need to call and check the menu.
Backcountry Brewery in Frisco, Colorado
710 Main Street
Frisco, Colorado
970-688-BEER (2337)
http://www.backcountrybrewery.com/
Their map they have on their webpage does not show their location. But from that map, the 2 major roads that cross are Main Street and Highway 9 which goes into Breckenridge. The Brew Pub is located on the South West Corner. I believe it is a 2 story place, with plenty of seating. Once I get a better idea of numbers, I will call ahead so they can plan for us to be there.
and here is the dinner menu they have online.
