Also a quesiton to through out there. Only because we all seem to be enthusits. How many of you wave to other Mini owners on the road? I do evertime i see one and most times i don't get any acknowledgment back. Today at lunch i saw 3 other owners and only got one wave back. I feel like no one waves any more. Or is this just me?

 

I wave, but honestly, I don't drive my MINI all that much, it is my garage queen baby, you will see why tomorrow, 4 years old, and in pretty good shape.

I was out and about yesterday in it, saw something like 6 MINIs, not one wave back. Does not matter, I will never stop waving, makes me happy, and that is all that matters

I am glad you are going tomorrow morning, cuz if you were not, I might just have to stay home, haha

A quick update on the breakfast at Detailers Paradise portion of tomorrow's drive...

We will have:

• Assorted bagels & cream cheese (plain and flavored)
• Raspberry rugala pastries
• Coffee
• Orange Juice
• Water

Also, everyone can take a bottled water to go!
You'll need it for the drive!

Just thought some people might like to know specifically what's on the menu.

I just looked over the route Vince posted up, the Western Dragon route in post #107. It is missing the trip through Evergreen or Morrison, and it is also missing Loveland Pass, but either way, it is really close to the drive I was thinking about. I think if no one has anything to say, that is the way I want to go.

Just add a trip through Evergreen, and Loveland Pass, which is the yellow road to the right of Dillon Res. It starts were the "I-70" icon is, and ends at the yellow pin point before heading into Breck. That goes over the continental divide, and it is beautiful up there, all above timber line, and some great twisties.

 

So... what was our total mileage for this trip? And what the Minimum Speed limit? 60? 65? 80?

 

the minimum speed limit is dependent on the road, and conditions. There is really no "minimum" but the max in some areas is 75mph, most of the way will be 65mph, and the twisty sections will be 35mph.

about 140 miles to Copper if we go through every point. total time is over 3 hours.

I'll be joining you guys for the trip up from Deatailers Paradise. Should be a fun trip. Don't think I'll be at the dinner though I'm working the Brew Swap from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and not sure what's going on after that.
