Sounds like a plan!! If I leave Copper Mountain by about 6:30, is that enough time to get to Detailers Paradise by 8:00?

I would say leave at 6:00 at the latest. We will wait for you. You need to drive through Denver, and South on Broadway to get to their shop. Traffic should not be too bad until you get into Denver.

Rush Hour starts around 7am around here, so that is why I would leave a bit earlier to be safe

I might be up for dinner as well. Depends if I'm still working on Mark's classic Mini or not. Cause as far as I know--I don't have any plans, but that could change I suppose.

Jon,

Put me down for the drive and dinner. Just one. I have a place in Frisco so I will either stay there or come back to Denver.

Cya!

awesome, I updated the list. Pam, glad you will be joining us for the drive. Richard, I certainly hope you can join us for dinner. Are you driving up with us, or coming up later with Heather and setting up? Tim, soooo glad you will be joining us, it has been too long since I've seen ya. I am driving home thursday night after the PM drive, so if you are heading back to Denver, we can caravan . If I were you though, I would stay in Frisco. I would, but don't want to spend the money for one nights lodging.

Although I haven't confirmed my plan with Heather, I'm expecting to stay behind and help Heather if she needs it. Ugh, time to leave in 5 hours--gotta get some sleep now for a MAJOR drive. LOL. I'm looking forward to meeting you all!

Here's to a safe drive out to Colorado. Looking forward to meeting you.

Great Jake, glad you all will join us. Where are you coming from?

I updated the list, we are at 25 people for the dinner (just called the place to update them so they are prepared for such a large group).

The Thursday Morning Drive is also looking up. We can decide on the Western Dragon Route, or the other route described in post #1 through Fairplay. I want to leave that up to a group decision, and I am pretty flexible on the issue.

really looking forward to this, just so everyone knows, I am spending all day Wednesday detailing my car and trying to make it perfect so it can get all dirty and covered in bugs on the way up Thank goodness for the Detailers Paradise car wash...so I can clean it up before dinner!!!

Jon, I sent you a PM.

This is looking like a major Run for the Mountains for Thursday. I might have to join in if I can find a good link up point. Time to go study the map again.

cool, if you are following 285 up north, and then taking 9, you might be able to see us either in Fairplay and then in Breck. if we are there, in Breckenridge, for lunch around 11am, you could join us, and still be in Copper around 1 for your roof graphic. PM me your cell phone number, and i can keep you up to date on where we are, if you want.

I've been reading this thread since it began, and by now, it sounds like quite the "unofficial event" during the official MITM rally. And although my wife and I should already be at Copper Mountain enjoying the Brew Swap, we're still not sure what and where our evening take us. But as of right now, this seems to be a great way to meet some other MINI aficionados. Anyway, put us down as two possible maybees for the dinner,

Norm and Jessica Dettlaff.

Hey Indigo, myself and passenger will be joining you at Detailers for the drive. Dinner is up in the air based on the below concerns.

I was looking at times for dinner vs drives and wondered if things are going to pan out as you surmise. If dinner is at 6, dining (especially in a large group) is likely to take an hour+; are we sure we'll be done in time to join the evening runs that they have planned at 7pm?

I'd like to participate in everything; but worry about having enough time to do it all. Thanks for setting this up; should be a great start to the weekend!
