Need help with HK amp wiring

2014 R60 S All4

Does anyone know what 4 wires goto the under seat woofers? I have an amp and subwoofer I want to install. I need to know what wires to tap for audio signal. I searched all over the forum and did not find any R60 specific info.

Thank you.

I am on that site now but I am having alot of trouble figuring out what is what. You guys are alot smarter than me with figuring out exactly what I am looking for. Is there any possible way to help me and tell me what wire colors I need from that hk harness that I posted a picture of?

Colors change, not always what it appears to be. However I see
left
yellow/black
green/brown

right
red/white
brown/white

as the wires to the under seat woofers.

I could be totally wrong but that is what I found. When I did my F56 I used a harness to avoid all that nonsense of tracing wires.

You really have to test them, the one I saw differed slightly. Easiest way would be to full the floor speakers and check the wiring.

I certainly appreciate your help. Can you link me to the page where you got your info from? Since it is different from the page I found. I want to see what the difference is.

Okay I see now. Your link is for the RHD and my link is for the LHD. I assume that stands for right-hand drive and left-hand drive. This mini is American version so I believe LHD is the correct diagram?

Successful install! Red with white, brown with white, yellow with black, and yellow with brown. I used the 12v accessory outlet in the rear as my remote signal to turn on the amp when the car is running.

Thanks again for the help.

I'm right in the middle of this...do you happen to remember which was + and -? I'd rather avoid the "better one.....(swaps wires)....better two" testing (ala eye doc testing &#128512

Factory sub

Yay for taking EVERYTHING out 😁

Yellow with black is + positive. Left channel.

Yellow with brown is - negative. Left channel.

Red with white is + positive. Right channel.

Brown with white is - negative. Right channel.

Thanks a ton for that!

I didn't get to really really hook it up today. I got the power wires run, and tapped into the subwoofer feeds, but the 12v outlet back there is getting no juice. I didn't check the fuses yet, mainly because the sun was going down, it was starting to get -cold- and I still had to put everything back in/back together! I did jump the 12v from the battery over to the remote turn on, just to see if anything was coming through, and there was some bump so I know it should be good to go once I get the 12v sorted.

Then I also bought some mdf and grey carpet to make 1/2 of the flat load floor, since the prefab sub box is going to take up 1/2 the room back there. I'll post some pics once I get all that done too.

The 12v power outlet only gets power when the engine is running. If the engine is not turned on, it will not have power.

In a sense, that is a good thing, because you don't really want to run your subwoofer with the engine off (and alternator not charging) and drain your car battery.

There is probably a way to tap the HK amp power wire for the remote turn on, but at the time I did not have the correct size tapper (looks like the HK amp power wire is thicker gauge than the signal wires) and I did not want to cut and splice. It was easier for me to tap the 12v power outlet wire which was a smaller gauge similar the audio signal wires.

What in the backwards......I mean I can understand someone attempting some logic, but that makes no sense to me! But then again, this is my first euro-import, i've always been nissan

But thanks for that tip, I never would have guessed that!

For me, I'd like to have bass without the car running

Request for personal questions about doing subs in my 2011 HK sound

this may be against rules but can you email me at isaiahshutes77@gmail to talk about this a bit? You are the ONLY person i’ve found to have done this and posted it online in the last 4-5 years and would love some insight
