After market muffler for 2016 Countrman S

Greetings everyone. I am looking for a good after market muffler for my Countryman. Nothing to loud, but better airflow with a little more volume would be nice. Don't want to really do the entire catback systems.

Any suggestions?

You will probably get a lot of answers about resonator and cat delete. I got a Magnaflow cat back for $620 shipped and like it so far. I just hope it stays the way it is because exhausts do break in and tend to get a bit louder.

Have you looked at the NM eng or the Megan ?

We have some options

Countryman S : Megan Racing or NM Engineering. Magnaflow is also listed . They do tend to get louder with age as the packing ages. Its done this one both my JCW exhaust and aftermarket ones.

NM Engineering

After market muffler for 2016 Countrman S

if you do not get a dp back exhaust, the restriction will remain

the welds between the tubing and stock flex pipe, second cat and resonator are very poor quality on the inside ... they reduce the id of the pipe to 2 inches or less ... someone posted photos on here showing his at 1-7/8 inch

i installed a milltek dp back exhaust
it has only a back box muffler like the stock system except you can see thru the milltek

it is 2.5 inch all the way vs 2.25 stock (except for the welds as noted above)

i picked up a lot of low end ... did some 3rd gear rollins with a stock all4 like mine

1500-4500 rpm ... stock we were axle to axle

with the milltek, i was 5 car lengths ahead
