JCW Countryman Muffler Delete

This is a video of my 2016 JCW Countryman with a custom fabricated muffler delete.

It took me a while to figure out how to post the video...

Basically American Muffler in San Diego suggested I just remove the muffler and not touch anything else. A custom Y-pipe was fabricated to split the exhaust into the factory tailpipes attached to the rear valance. Then painted it all black heat paint to make it not so bright. I think it is exactly what I was looking for and it really sounds good once warmed up without being loud and obnoxious. BTW, it cost only $200 and took about 2 hours from start to finish. Thanks in advance for the opinions.

Brett

That sounds awesome.

did it have the burble before, because hear some in your clip.

I'm asking because my 2014 JCW as no burble. If all i have to do to get the burble is to spend 200 and rmove the muffler, I'm all over that!

thx

I felt the same way... I had no burble or anything resembling a JCW Countryman so I got it done. Where are you located?

This was my quick fix in getting the sound I wanted. I am also looking at the VIP Exhaust just because of the solid build quality and it is made especially for the JCW Countryman.

I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Why do you want another exhaust? whats not satisfying about your current one?

I didn't remove/substitute anything except the muffler with a custom made Y-pipe.

I am almost sold on the VIP exhaust made specifically for the JCW Countryman. I made some calls and now just waiting on my account to build back up after the suspension work/parts.

It will get done shortly along with an aftermarket intake.
