Extending Maintenance Plan

Any thoughts on extending the Maintenance on a 2011 CMS? I purchased it a few months ago with 24,000 miles on it. It is a CPO car, so I have the warranty. My biggest concern is the clutch. The clutch on my 2011 MCS went at 54,000 miles, and that was covered either by the CPO warranty or the extended maintenance the car had, not sure which. Two weeks ago the high pressure fuel pump and the aux. water pump had to be replaced under warranty.

If anyone has purchased the extended maintenance plan, what did it cost?

Have those with clutch replacements had them done under warranty, or maintenance plans?

The most important such purchase I made on my 2011 CM4 was the extended warranty - this being the first model year. That was motivated by my previous experience in first-model-year cars - extended warranty on those always came out at least even with what support would have cost.

I purchased the extended maintenance as well, but that was based on my expectation that I would have the car for the long haul, the cost vs. the projected normal maintenance was a wash, and I was expecting to use the dealer as the support organization.

I had the first clutch replacement done under warranty.

I got a quote for the extended maintenance for $1895. It must be purchase before the 36K miles. I'm considering it as they told me it will cover the clutch.

at my dealer, after you have purchased, the service advisor handles the purchase of extended maintenance and/or extended warranty

When we pick up our CM last month, I believe the finance manager offer us the 5 year extended maintenance for $1990. Its a pretty good deal if you are not a do it yourself kind of guy. The brakes themselves are almost a $1000 an axle.

Are you saying pads & rotors are $2000 for the car? You can higher quality low dust pads & rotors by a non mini shop for a lot less than that.

My concern is the clutch, not the pads or rotors. I would guess a clutch is at least $2000.

I am guessing it has to be close to $1500:

For those who have purchased the Extended Maintenance Plan, did you shop around for quotes from out of state dealers (Non-Sales Tax) or did you purchase from your local Dealership?

I am interested to know what dealers are offering the best prices as I am currently considering getting the EMP.

Thanks in advance.......

I have a 2012 Countryman S 6 speed coming off the factory 3 years/36,000 mile Maintenance Plan. My local (Northern California) dealer quoted $2,095 for the Extended Maintenance Plan up to 100,000 miles or three more years. I will reach three years before the miles. This quote seems way too high. Any suggestions on what a fair price should be, a good place to shop, and can I get 3 years/70,000 miles?
Thanks,
