Low Tire Alert After Reset

Hi all,

I have had my low tire pressure alert go off a few times of the last year. A simple reset always fixed the issue. The past 10-12 days the alert goes off every time I start up the MINI. Sometimes it tells me the driver side front is low. Other times it tells me every tire is low. I checked the pressure for each tire with a gauge and made sure each were 32 PSI. Still receiving the alerts.

Any ideas? I'd like avoid a trip to the dealer over something so silly. Anyone else come across this issue?

thanks

Every year about this time as the temp drops my low pressure light shines. Check the inside of door jam for recommended psi. I was surprised that my MA told me to check my tire pressure every couple of weeks--seems like a lot! My recommended psi was 35 for traveling up to 100 mph and 38 for traveling above 100 mph.

From TireRack: The rule of thumb is for every 10° Fahrenheitchange in air temperature, your tire's inflation pressure will change by about1 psi (up with higher temperatures and down with lower). AND for every 1 monththat passes you lose 1psi

Forget that squishy 32psi, run 38 in all 4.

Right on! I jacked them up to 36 psi and all seems to be good. These sensors are out their minds. Good thing they tell you all the specs in the manual. Not always helpful are they?

When my Countryman arrived all four tires were at 42psi(Pirelli P7 Summer Performance 18" wheels). As suggested by a member here who used a tire pyrometer and had the same tires, I changed my inflation to 42psi front and 37psi rear. Changing my tire pressure made a huge difference in the ride. I am considering purchasing my own tire pyrometer for future use.

Ok dumb question, but air or nitrogen? Can't find that detail in manual. Thanks
