I have my Countryman about 5 months now. Just realized that there are no light indicator on the dashboard or anywhere to tell you if your doors or trunk are not closed properly. Or am I missing something? Thanks!

 

I get a message on my Mini Connected screen but I suspect you don't have that option.

 

You should get error message on tach/display and an audio warning. I do when rear hatch is not shut completely

 

Hmm, I think I am clearly missing something. I got the Mini connect, but I don't use it everyday. I opened my truck today and try to drive in a parking lot, no sound or light to tell me that my truck is open. Opened all my car doors and nothing to show me that my doors are open except the light on the roof.

I would thought a $30k+ car should have those basic function? Anyone can tell me where is that indicator light locate at when your doors is not close properly? Thanks!

Are we asking about a truck or a MINI? I'm so confused. Either way, that thing in the back is your boot (opposite the bonnet). And now you've got me wondering - I'll have to check Zaftig when I get back to the Metro stop (on the underground). Stand by.

 

Nothing on Zaftig. No light, no buzz. I did notice that the window will not auto-up with the door ajar. Maybe that's all we get?

 

I get this warning if I drive with the hatch open. Also makes a warning gong. I didn't try driving with a door open, but I assume there's a similar warning.

 

Thank you Chrunck, this is what I am looking for, but the other day I did drive away with the hatch opened but has no sign or warning. I have to try it again. All my cars before has a door indicator light on the dash area like the seatbelt warning light, etc. Let me check more and report it back. : )

My neighbors have now confirmed that I am insane. For the last two days I've driven Zaftig around the block with all possible combinations of boot, 4 doors, front doors, rear doors, sunroof, and bonnet open and closed while looking for a light. So far, I got nothing. But my neighbors call in their kids and close their doors when I walk my dogs past their houses.

 

Ok, confirmed. I opened my trunk and drove about 3-4 sec. then the warning light will appeared like Chrunck's photo. Then I opened the passenger door and start driving, the other warning light did appear (top view of the car with the door open icon). But again, these warning lights should be showing before you start to drive like most of the cars do. Again, Mini do something different, but not too logical IMO. But I am glad at least the system is working. : )
