Adding stripes

Got our CM without stripes, but I really want to add them in. It's Light White with a black top, so I was thinking black strips. Red is also an option, but that would be up to the wife!

Question is, where do I order them from? There are lots of shops online that sell them for around $50, but are these quality stripes? Don't want to make a mistake.

The same guy who did my tint offered to put them on for $40 so that's taken care of.

Thanks in advance!

Red would be really sharp if you have other red bits and pieces... mirror caps, brake calipers, wheel center caps, etc.

I had my stripes added at the dealership a couple weeks after I bought my car. I then added a thin red pinstripe myself to tie in with the JCW Ducts/Mirror Caps.

You can see it a little better here. It is very subtle.

You got great taste! Yours and mine are scarily similar down to the grille badge!

Your CM looks awesome!

I think I'm gonna go for kind of the same thing. Funny part is, I wanted to color my brake inlet before I even saw yours. Now I just want to do it more! How did you go about painting them?

I thought on adding more red than the stripes, mirror caps and ducts and decided against it. I think I have more than enough red.

I also striped the painted roof areas but not the sunroofs.

From the front view, yep, plenty of red !

From the side, I think a little more would not be overboard. Red brake calipers would look nice and sporty. Just my opionion... take it with a grain of salt because I'm a red bits-and-pieces fanatic.

This color combo looks so good I am building one @ MINIUSA.com to keep in my online "Garage". I already know I am upgrading to the Countryman. It's just really a matter of when. So the Mirrors and JCW vents can just be added?

Yep, I actually swapped them out a couple of weeks after I bought it. You can get them, and other JCW accessories from Sewell. If you wait till they have their NAM discount codes- like they do now until Oct 31st, you can save even more money. Look in Vendor Announcements for the code.

Help, my countryman is headed for stipes, etc. next week. Any ideas/colors? I'd like something unique.

MzMuss,

How about the MINI Ray Sport Stripes? They are flat black sport stripes with neon highlights (green, yellow, pink, or orange). Do matching mirror caps, brake ducts, and optionally side scuttles in the highlight color.

Alternative, if you like the red stripes, you could do similar custom stripes and have the mirror caps and brake ducts painted to match.

Another idea would be to go for the black jack mirror caps and do sport stripes in gloss black with either silver or white highlights matching the black jack.

The neutral color of the midnight gray gives you plenty of options. Things are more difficult on the starlight blue.

That's another cool idea. The options are too endless which poses a problem lol
