2013 CM info yet?

any scuttlebutt on the 13 model yet?
price changes?
model changes?

Seems the dealers have the full allotment of 12s on hand now- but no mention of a 13 order book. Debating if I should take a 12 or wait and order what I want in a 13.

MotoringFile has some info, w/2013 pricing changes. Not sure if this is common knowledge.

Glad to see that bluetooth is now a standard feature. This will make my GF happy as she'd be ordering the 2013 and wants to keep it under a certain price. Hopefully the base price doesn't increase by too much though. It'd also be nice if the rear bench seat was actually a no cost option instead of being charged an extra $250 for the flat load floor. That IMO is stupid.

Too bad sirius won't be standard anymore. We wouldn't have paid for it at the time - but actually like it (great for road trips) and it made the mini seem special for offering it with all 2012's.

I have three Sirius subscriptions, I have a plug n play model in my Beetle, built in with the Audi, then have my partner's plug n play on my account. When I got the Audi, I went for the life time subscription. You can transfer it up to three times. Not sure if it changed since they merged with XM, or if I just didn't pay attention back them, but now they say you can't transfer the lifetime subscription to a new car. Kinda sucks.

If I can't, I may use that as a selling feature on the Audi. If I can't transfer it, and it costs me nothing to keep it active, may as well just keep it on my account when the new owner takes over.

For my primary radio, I pay $142.45 a year, plus $15.38 for their music royalty fee (their way of raising prices without raising prices). I also pay $32.89 a year for that one so I can also listen online.

For my partner's subscription, I pay $109.89, plus $10.77 for the music royalty fee, for a total of $120.66.

Back in 2007, I paid $399.99 plus $15.00 activation for the lifetime subscription for the Audi. That was also supposed to include lifetime Internet, but that dropped mysteriously after the merger.

2 different cars. The JCW GP is a special edition hatch that if it is better than the first GP, it will be fantastic.

Thanks for the info. We'll probably renew once our year is up.

I bought the lifetime subscription for my 335 in 2009 and was told you can only transfer it once, and even then it's only if your car gets totaled or stolen. I sold the 335 a year and a half ago but still have the account -- I wonder if I can sweet talk the Sirius customer service people into transferring it to my Countryman when I pick it up in September...

Both Sirius and XM used to have a customer retention plan - call in as your subscription ends and you used to get the full retail pricing to renew from their CSR. Refuse it and they start backpedaling to $77 a year or as low as $20 for 5 months. Not all CSR's are up to speed so if the first one you talk to blew you off, hang up and call back. I've done this but not in the last 12 months.

Thanks for the reminder. I remember the hoops they jumped through trying to retain me after my (much shorter) free trial on my Acura. I am enjoying it, but a deal would be welcome--if only for a year.

Sounds like the center stack is changing. Window toggles will be moved to doors.

That will be a nice improvement; no more interference with cups in holders. Wish they would move the Sport Button up to the steering wheel or close to it!

my brother read the 13's also got a power boost. 198HP IIRC? maybe from Car & Driver ?
probably just another 1-2# boost/remap or slight CR bump.

No, unless he is thinking of the JCW tuning kit, but that isn't coming to the CM.

The JCW CM coming out in 2013 should have more power, but the figure hasn't been officially released yet.

I dont think it was the JCW he was referring to. The JCW will make something like 211hp. Most powerful mini yet. (w/ an overboost to 221trq)

funny, it shows the 13' JCW w/ the window sw. still in the center, as opposed to other reads stating theyve moved to the door.

^Were those numbers ever confirmed? From what I recall that number is for the Euro version. Rumor was that the US version would be same as the rest of the JCW lineup.
