To Stripe... Or Not To Stripe?! That is the Question

I am almost losing sleep over this and I haven't even gotten him yet!!! Color and stripes have been my only main decision struggle in this whole process. He will be here in about 2 weeks! I went from two months to decide to he's almost here!

So Rupert is Light White with Black Top and Mirrors. I have seen so many variations of stripes but it's hard to picture it on him. I've thought of Black stripes and grey stripes and black or grey with an accent color and all the variations all the way to no stripes even, but how do I decide?!?!

I know to each their own, but there has to be a way to help me decide!

HELP!!!

lol I think Rupert would look great without, but that's my opinion. With the white, you could go with so many different color options on stripes. IF I were going to get stripes, I would have gotten just the sports stripes for the sides. But now that I've seen several of the All4's, I've decided my S wouldn't look right with the side stripes because she's be lacking the All4 badge.

In the end I decided against stripes, simply because it's just a sticker. Had the stripes been painted on, I might have gone with them. The paint under the stripes will fade slightly so if you ever decide to remove the stripes (which is one reason it'd be good that it's not paint) you would have a difference in color where the stripes used to be. Of course it probably won't be that significant of a difference. But it's the reason I decided against them.

I have the same decision to make - I brought samples to work and asked co-workers to give their opinions - end of day I'm still undecided - good luck

Oh, Chubby what if you did matte black for the thickest stripes and then a different, brighter color for the tiny pinstripes?

And maybe Rupert could wear the same kind of style?

OH! Another question for you guys, what interior color line did you guys go with?

Sorry. lol The Mini's excite me. HAHA

Hey Mini-

The matte black is one of the options. I went with the polar bear/beige color line.

Me Too!! There's a black Countryman on one of the threads with grey larger stripes and orange pin stripes! I love that one! But just not sure what would look good on white! It's hard to picture in my head!

I have been asking everyone at work too and get a different answer with each one!

I'm hoping when he gets here, Rupert will speak to me...

In the end I went without stripes. Mine is black all over and I love the clean lines without the stripes. The kids really wanted them, but they lost.

Get it without stripes. If you find something you like have them added. If you don't like them 10 minutes and a blow dryer they're gone. No need to stress. It's the plus to NOT having painted stripes. My last MINI was PW/B and had black bonnets. I got tired of them and it took 5 minutes to get them off, no residue & couldn't tell they were ever on. Went naked for a while and then saw some stripes at MOTD and had them installed. It was like getting a new car every time they changed. Current CMS was ordered sans-stripes. I saw some I liked and had them added. They'll probably get changed at some point. My 2¢ but it keeps it fun...

I think we all go through the 'to stripe or not to stripe' senorio.
I started with the side double stripes. Liked them but then added the doubles to the bonnet and boot.
I'm sure at some point I'll get rid of them for awhile and later probably put some more on (different style).
Or, maybe I'll come up with my own design.
Like it's been said, a couple minutes and hair dryer and they're gone if you don't like 'em.
They aren't that expensive.

Maybe we should start a custom stripe thread. Some combinations are simply awesome.
If you're getting a light white check the LW thread. I believe someone has gray and red stripes. That was a fantastic combo IMHO.
