I've been looking for CM front window sun shade. I've seen one that looks cheaply made.
Wanted to know if Mini or any other vendor made an official sun shade for the CM?

 

I ordered one from MINI when I ordered my Countryman. They told me that they wouldn't be out until this summer.

You might want to try Heatshield.com

 

heatshield.com is a windshield heat shade, not a shade for the driver side window.

The most attractive and affordable solution (short of waiting for MINI to give us all a free visor custom made for the CM) is to buy the R56 visor from FASTMIN.NET for $49 and paint it to color match the CM headliner.

Guess someone could call them for a Countryman quote...

 

Again, heatshield.whatever is a heat shield for windshield when parked, not a sun shade for driver's side.

 

OK, but the OP was specifically asking about a front windshield sun shade -- sun visor is another thread.

 

They list the MINI under BMW, but they don't have the Countryman.....

 

I take that back... Countryman is a little further down the list, right after the 745....

 

I'm supposed to pick up my Heatshield today for my CM4 - I'll find out how well they did on this model.

I live where Canvas Works (maker of HeatShield) is located. I ordered a HeatShield for my CM4 and it was available for pick up the next day. It fit perfectly, but I prefered my GPS to the available NAV, so I asked if they could notch out the corner for my window mount. Five minutes later I had my custom modified HeatShield and it works great.

Just an update there is an official MINI sun shade for the MINI Countryman and MINI Paceman.

It folds up very nicely and comes in a seal-able vinyl gray pouch when you don't have to use it. Reflective gray material with MINI logo in the center.

I have been using a Heatshield for over two years now and it works great. As for the side visor mentioned in other responses what happened to tint? Works great and a front "eyebrow" tint takes care of the shortcomings of the front sun visors.

 

Dealer "gave" me one with the car. I use it every day.

 

I did the redneck solution . Cut a piece of cardboard about 6" deep (like a shirt box ) and simply slide it between the glass and window frame. Low cost, works great!

 

with out a doubt eyeshades.
