Comfort Access and Bluetooth/Radio Issue

I have the comfort access which means that I keep the key in my pocket...jamming away to satellite radio, pull in the garage, exit the car and the radio/bluetooth stays active for a few minutes. Problem is that if I get a phone call during this time while inside, my iPhone connects to the car bluetooth and I have to change it back to the iPhone once I realize that whoever called me is talking to the empty inside of the car. Only solution to all this is to lock it each time I get out of the car in the garage or to use the key fob in the slot in the car so that it deactivates all of the above when I get out. Sort of makes the comfort access a pain in the "access." Anyone else discovered this and managed it better than I am?

I think if you press the Start/Stop button a second time, you will find that everything turns off. At least that's the way it works in my 2008 Clubman.

Rather than just pressing and releasing, hold down the START/STOP button until everything turns off.

if it's an iphone.... in our bmw you actually have to release the iphone from the car through the phone.. otherwise it keeps the call going in the car. as for the radio continuing after your are done. you just hit the stop button two times. it locks the steering column and turns everything off.

I second Midnight Blue's comment: either hit the stop button a second time, or press the lock button on the door after closing it. Either way, it's a one button fix to this issue. Maybe it's 'cause I'm a city slicker, but I always keep my car locked, even in a locked garage.

I'm saying it is just one long press of the button (hold it down until radio stops) - same result as pressing twice.

That must be new as that does not work in my 08 and I don't think it works for 09's either.

thanks everyone. Did the trick. We country folk don't have to worry about locking our cars in the garage...especially with three vicious dogs. Holding down the start/stop as well as pushing it twice did the trick of turning it all off and nice to be able to just press once and still be able to listen to music or fiddle with the Nav when I am waiting on someone and remaining in the car for a while.
