Not in person, no, unless you count the little swatch at the dealer. Which I liked. They only had white, royal grey and true blue. They're a two hour drive north. The dealer two hours drive south has the green, white, red and black.

So this decision is part photos and videos online and part wanting a color that harkens back to the original mini colors. Since I learned to drive in an original.

I also ordered surf blue, with black roof and mirrors, and the black 18"rims, black leatherette, and loaded, all4. I saw it in person, and it is AWESOME! I saw all of the colors at my local dealer, and thought it was by far the best color choice. I love blue cars, and it is so different than any blue I have seen. You made a great choice! But, as you know all colors are a matter of opinion. I think there are going to be too many white countryman, and too many true blue ones also. I just did not want to drive down the street and pass another CM in my color, which I think/hope will not happen. No disrespect to the white and true blue owners, because they are very nice colors also.

 

Looks like there's going to be a bunch of Surf Blue CM's on this board, my MA just got in in the nick of time my color change to Surf Blue, black top, black wheels, production starts anyday now.

I too was toying with some of the more conservative color, top, and wheel combination's and it was quite a leap for me to this color, but what the heck.

 

Yeah i think the color distribution will be a lot more even than most people think, except maybe for the yellow.

 

All right! Can't wait to see my fellow Surf Blue/Black on the boards, if not around town.

You're both ahead of me in the process I think so post pics when they hit your driveways please.

I've seen pix of solid silver CMs and black on silver. Anyone seen any white on silver?

It may be too subtle, but just trying to find something that isn't too common and looks good with the leatherette interior.

I hate that I really liked the Polar Beige interior in the car I recently test drove. God, does it look nice. But it's white! Even in the test car, the sides were dirty from folks sliding in and out.

Hey I just ordered a Countryman S in Pure Red with Black Top and Black bonnet stripes. Loaded it up too! Beige leather interior. It's about to go into production so the wait begins! Currently have a Chili Red Mini Clubman with Black Top and Black bonnet stripes. Thought the new red does go toward the orangy red side - but love Orange! Guess I'll have to change my user name!

 

Actually, you have the perfect name:

Scarlet: a variable color that is vivid red but sometimes with an orange tinge
red: of a color at the end of the color spectrum (next to orange)

I learned this recently from the kid's crayolas.

Wow, white on silver looks pretty sweet. I kept trying to photoshop white roofs onto silver cars to see what it would look like, since the configurator doesn't seem do it justice.. Wish I'd ordered that instead of white/black now.

 

Uhm, no. This is my second MINI and it seems that in both cases the MA were pretty adamant that there wasn't room to budge on price. In retrospect, maybe that was because I was buying a made-to-order cars. If there was any room to negotiate, I think it would probably have been on a car on the lot, maybe you could talk them into lowering the price if there are two nearly identical cars at two different dealers.

Pure red with white top. Love the traditional mini look with the white. Our first mini was an electric blue with white top but we wanted a little more zing in the color (second or third childhood)

 

Hubby just placed his order today(YAY!), with absolutely no influence on my part .
He ordered an S, Cosmic Blue, Black top, mirrors and wheels. Lots of goodies. Now we just need to come up with a name for it/him/her. Stick with the cartoon character theme maybe?? Of course I like Baba-Bluey for obvious reasons.

Those red headed women, can't wait to spill the beans and chat things up. No, no influence at all. Except if I didn't get the heated seats I would have been "out in the cold" ;-) I'm not totally stupid I made sure the red head was good with the whole package. She will have almost as many big dogs as I do soon.

Hmm Huckleberry Hound? Wasn't he blue. I think Baba was one of Hucklberry's buds. Guess I will have to research the cartoon characters again. I'm a Canid kinda guy but I might have to do something based on the original canid the wolf, grrrrr.

 

The best feature of the heated seats is being able lean over to my wife when they are on and tell her she has a hot a$$. Just sayin.

 

And these heated seats get HOT! Can't see using any setting past 1 in fear of doing permanent damage.

 

My wife got the Pure Red and we love it!! I couldn't see the CM in Chili Red. Pure Red is a much sportier color. We had seen a pre-production Pure Red CM in person and thought it looked a little orange in the sun but we totally loved the color. My wife knew at that point that she wanted the Pure Red.

Everyone has their opinions of the colors and I'm sure they will offer some other color choices next year.

My advice to anyone on edge with the color swatches, see the color on a car in person in sunlight. There are many colors on the CM which have different hues when seen in the sun.

 

Just ordered my All4 this afternoon. Red with a black top, leatherette seats, 6-speed manual, chrome line exterior, adaptive xenons, no stripes, cold weather, premium, 18 inch chrome fan wheels. Opted for some things that are definitely luxury items - Connected with Nav, PDC, Alarm, Comfort Access, auto-dim rear view mirror, and more!

This will be the longest 2 months in HISTORY!
