Congratulations on buying the most fun-to-drive car you'll ever own.
A couple guidelines to follow:
1.) whenever possible, post pictures on NAM, so we can see what you're talking about. We love visuals...
2.) when typing on NAM, always capitalize the word MINI when talking about the 2002 and newer BMW-owned MINI's, and use lowercase when referring to classic Mini's. It helps clear up which breed you're talking about.
3.) waving to other MINI or Mini owners when you pass them is absolutely mandatory. Help keep this friendly tradition alive!
4.) prepare your spouse: after hanging around NAM too long you're bound to get the modding bug. It's a disease that permeates all of NAM. 5.) don't be afraid to ask questions, about virtually anything, which leads me to...
6.) PLEASE use the search function here on NAM to search for answers, before creating a new thread. Many times, newbies create new threads like, "what's the best cold-air intake for my MINI", when there are already countless threads in existance on that very subject already. Other veteran NAM'ers always get very impatient at that. So use search often.
7.) have fun motoring, and keep us informed of any mods, great drives, good road food locations, etc.
